Kelly was faster than him, Linda and Fred had better aim, Sam was said to be stronger than him, kat was smarter than him.

Linda would have the best statistical odds of beating Samus in my opinion.
@galestin I disagree. MC was born and trained since the age of 6. He's led a team through hostile environments before he reached 10 (if my memory survive me right). He has fought four ODST soldiers, leaving one dead and the other three badly injured when he was 12. In his later years he obtained every known medal to man, except the prisoner of war. That is why he is the best.
Samus was trained since she was 3 years old on a planet too hostile even for a grown man, so hostile in fact they had to genetically augment her before she started her training.
she was trained by a race far superior to Human or Covenant technologically, physically (even in their severe old age appearently), and mentally.
btw, he took out the ODST when he was 14.
and still everything else I mentioned about the other spartans remains true, their "specialties" directly relate to combat.

And MC didn't even want to work with him at first. MC proved to be the most skilled of the spartan II's. He's like kobe bryant, the best at what he does.

Metroid Fusion, it's mentioned in the first 5 minutes of the game's opening.
she gets infected, she got injected with Metroid DNA based vaccine, and became immune.
Hell, she became better than immune, throughout the entire game she she actually absorbs X-cores in to regain shield energy and restore abilities.
though, it's presumed it only worked on her, as there's no mention of re-using the DNA vaccine (unless they only had enough Metroid DNA to make one, another plausable reason)

if she's immune because she gained the metroid's energy draining property, it'll apply to the flood as well.
but, otherwise the flood would still need to bypass her superior shielding and armor, in theory they could, but it's unlikely, She'd die of thirst or hunger first. with the speed booster and shine spark she can plow through them regardless of how many there are to get away if she ever became THAT overwhelmed.
IIt's not the DNA that's the issue. it's the ability it granted.
Metroid's have the ability to siphon life energy from their prey. it's the reason they can kill, devour, and absorb X-parasites into their system, which Samus seems to have gained, even if to a lesser extent.
The Flood are not immune to such an ability, nothing in either series is.
Metroids devour life energy and store it in their bodies, presumed by Space-pirates in that they use this energy to float to continue hunting, or preform powerful energy attacks when they evolve/mutate.
Samus, when she absorbs X-parasites, regain's suit energy pending on the strength of the X.
It's never explained why or how, just that she can and that it had to do with the Vaccine.
I think it's pretty evident WHERE that ability originates.
Given Metroid's advanced races, Immunities from super parasites has been developed more than once in one way or another.
the Ing, which can by-pass armor AND shields, and "infect" machines as well as living creatures, no known "Cure" was ever developed, but a means of indefinite protection from the Ing, but only within 2 existing peaces of technology
(least from infection, not harm from creatures infected by the ing)
My point about the Ing was that by metroids standards, if the flood existed in it they'd might be able to make an immunity by some shape or form.
Well, so did the Humans in the past, and the Forerunners could have stopped them too if they had actually treated it like a threat, but they were slow on that uptake.

a Flood easy enough, so liquid nitrogen would do nicely, do enough damage to cripple it (as you COULD easily enough blow it's limbs off).

Otherwise, in the Novel The Flood and one animated comic, humans have more than once had managed to catch a flood combat form, alive, fully intact, no specialized gear or anything
because your best friend could be an X-parasite host and you wouldn't know. it would look exactly like your friend, on top of the fact they can't be incapacitated, they regenerate far too quickly.
the parasite, free roaming without host or form, flies at an impressive speed and agility.
Yeah, because the parasite didn't quite get Samus.
it got her armor because the interior componets were organic, and it did it's best to mimic Samus' actual physical appearence despite not actually having copied her.
they seem lifeless, though maybe they haven't perfected it yet probably because their not used to intelligent beings and are were still evolving and adjusting too it, but they don't make any attempt to communicate, despite their ability to utilize memories of their prey.

3. Samus would pwn Master Chief MUCH faster than this. Just to mention a few abilites that wasnt in this fight: Screw Attack, Wave Beam, Nova Beam, Dark Beam, Light Beam, Annilator Beam which i might add is basilly all in ONE GUN AND ALL UNLIMITED AMMO except for Dark, Light and Annilator. Not really, whether or not he's physically stronger, or even whether or not he's the better fighter, is irrelivant.
Samus' screw attack would render ballistic and plasma bolt weapons useless (sword included), melee attacks harmful only too him, and the gravity suit neutralizes the gravity hammer to being nothing more than just an oversized stick
Power bombs makes any, and I do mean ANY attempts to get close only suicide. the blast radius is absolutely massive and they are stronger than grenades
but even than, as strong as he is, the blade wouldn't magically pass through her shield. even a spartan shield can block the Hammer's blade with it's shield once before popping, and their shield is dozens of times weaker than Samus.
and, more importantly, if she activates the screw attack before he swings, the hammer would just be destroyed on contact with her armor. assuming he doesn't get incinerated by a power bomb on his way over.
Samus' armor, especially with it's shield, is a LOT stronger than Spartan armor, capable of withstanding FAR bigger blades from LARGER and STRONGER foes than Brutes or Spartans.
Just 'cause it's "Strong" in Halo, doesn't mean it strong by comparison in some other universe.
He stopped the flood and the Covenant, and it took him three games to achieve it once because neither the flood nor the Covenant were completely stopped in the first or second game.
the flaw with your statement, is that he's only saved the Galaxy (once). the Flood may very well exist outside the Milky way Galaxy according too the Forerunners, and the Halo's reach with 7 Halo's only encompased THIS galaxy when all of them are fired together.
Chief has no Identity, He's Master Chief Petty officer Spartan-II commando John-117. there's no secret Identity, the only secret about him is his origens due too the large amounts of illegal activity involved with the spartan project.

This video used to make no sense, since it was clearly established that Master Chief was a dude. However, that's not Master Chief. It's Nicole-458, the female SPARTAN-II who guest-starred in one of the Dead or Alive games.

And I say this as a guy who's played the Halo games, but never once picked up a Metroid game.

I don't see the logic in that. Chief wasn't the best Spartan.
Kelly was faster than him, Linda and Fred had better aim, Sam was said to be stronger than him, kat was smarter than him.
he was a good leader, and the "Luckiest" of the spartans. otherwise, unless Nicole-458 is the shittest spartan, I sincerely doubt swapping her for chief will make any significant impact.
Linda would have the best statistical odds of beating Samus in my opinion.

@galestin I disagree. MC was born and trained since the age of 6. He's led a team through hostile environments before he reached 10 (if my memory survive me right). He has fought four ODST soldiers, leaving one dead and the other three badly injured when he was 12. In his later years he obtained every known medal to man, except the prisoner of war. That is why he is the best.

Samus was trained since she was 3 years old on a planet too hostile even for a grown man, so hostile in fact they had to genetically augment her before she started her training.
she was trained by a race far superior to Human or Covenant technologically, physically (even in their severe old age appearently), and mentally.
btw, he took out the ODST when he was 14.
and still everything else I mentioned about the other spartans remains true, their "specialties" directly relate to combat.

@galestin Yeah but with their indervidual "specialties" they need a whole group to take on covanant forces. Master chief barely needs spartan help. The only real help he got was from the arbita. And MC didn't even want to work with him at first. MC proved to be the most skilled of the spartan II's. He's like kobe bryant, the best at what he does.

the match-up frankly isn't fair. unless he gets something good in Halo 4, 5, or 6 he's his odds of winning in an upfront fight are astronomically low.

@galestin Doesn't ring a bell. But MC is more iconic then Samus even though he is a man of few words. As soon as you hear or see a halo related symbol you instanly think of MC. I didn't even know of Samus until I saw this video 1.5 years ago.

Samus is actually famed as one of nintendo's top games, or was.
Famous gaming icon back in the day, first female protagonist in a videogame.
she used to be VERY iconic, but then Nintendo neglected the series due to it not being popular in Japan, brought it back recently to some mild success, then one that is highly considered failure by many people.
Metroid's been around for 25 years.
Problem is that it's a good series.. just not what the masses want.

Metroid Fusion, it's mentioned in the first 5 minutes of the game's opening.
she gets infected, she got injected with Metroid DNA based vaccine, and became immune.
Hell, she became better than immune, throughout the entire game she she actually absorbs X-cores in to regain shield energy and restore abilities.
though, it's presumed it only worked on her, as there's no mention of re-using the DNA vaccine (unless they only had enough Metroid DNA to make one, another plausable reason)

Depends on how her immunities work.
if she's immune because she gained the metroid's energy draining property, it'll apply to the flood as well.
but, otherwise the flood would still need to bypass her superior shielding and armor, in theory they could, but it's unlikely, She'd die of thirst or hunger first. with the speed booster and shine spark she can plow through them regardless of how many there are to get away if she ever became THAT overwhelmed.

IIt's not the DNA that's the issue. it's the ability it granted.
Metroid's have the ability to siphon life energy from their prey. it's the reason they can kill, devour, and absorb X-parasites into their system, which Samus seems to have gained, even if to a lesser extent.
The Flood are not immune to such an ability, nothing in either series is.

I have some evidence, just no outright claim.
Metroids devour life energy and store it in their bodies, presumed by Space-pirates in that they use this energy to float to continue hunting, or preform powerful energy attacks when they evolve/mutate.
Samus, when she absorbs X-parasites, regain's suit energy pending on the strength of the X.
It's never explained why or how, just that she can and that it had to do with the Vaccine.
I think it's pretty evident WHERE that ability originates.

Given Metroid's advanced races, Immunities from super parasites has been developed more than once in one way or another.
the Ing, which can by-pass armor AND shields, and "infect" machines as well as living creatures, no known "Cure" was ever developed, but a means of indefinite protection from the Ing, but only within 2 existing peaces of technology
(least from infection, not harm from creatures infected by the ing)

My point about the Ing was that by metroids standards, if the flood existed in it they'd might be able to make an immunity by some shape or form.
Well, so did the Humans in the past, and the Forerunners could have stopped them too if they had actually treated it like a threat, but they were slow on that uptake.

So where the Ing and X-parasites when they were first found by the Galactic federation.
and they're harder to capture, flood by comparison isn't actually that hard.
Ing have trans dimensional travel, and the you can't tell the difference between a X-clone and it's original by sight.
and the flood wasn't new. the Forerunners were dealing with it for hundreds of years if I'm not mistaken, and an unknown amount of time against the humans before they got De-evolved by the forerunner.

Oh yes.
a Flood easy enough, so liquid nitrogen would do nicely, do enough damage to cripple it (as you COULD easily enough blow it's limbs off).
containing after that isn't hard either.
the hard thing with the flood is detecting the spore and overall preventing outbreaks from spreading.
Otherwise, in the Novel The Flood and one animated comic, humans have more than once had managed to catch a flood combat form, alive, fully intact, no specialized gear or anything

Harder than Flood.
because your best friend could be an X-parasite host and you wouldn't know. it would look exactly like your friend, on top of the fact they can't be incapacitated, they regenerate far too quickly.
the parasite, free roaming without host or form, flies at an impressive speed and agility.
Harder to catch and harder to kill.

Yeah, because the parasite didn't quite get Samus.
it got her armor because the interior componets were organic, and it did it's best to mimic Samus' actual physical appearence despite not actually having copied her.
they seem lifeless, though maybe they haven't perfected it yet probably because their not used to intelligent beings and are were still evolving and adjusting too it, but they don't make any attempt to communicate, despite their ability to utilize memories of their prey.

@galestin true one of the best forms of attack is from taking the enemys with a strong hit from suprise but the flood does talk to ppl i mean halo 3 the flood talks to you ALL the time it is anoying how you slow down but the chief and arbiter listened to the floo(it was obvius that it was a trap)

EPIC minus some minor flawls:
1. Its Master Chick not Master Chief
2. Samus looks like a teenage girl.
3. Samus would pwn Master Chief MUCH faster than this. Just to mention a few abilites that wasnt in this fight: Screw Attack, Wave Beam, Nova Beam, Dark Beam, Light Beam, Annilator Beam which i might add is basilly all in ONE GUN AND ALL UNLIMITED AMMO except for Dark, Light and Annilator. Sorry Chief fans but he doesnt stand A CHANCE!

Not really, whether or not he's physically stronger, or even whether or not he's the better fighter, is irrelivant.
Samus' screw attack would render ballistic and plasma bolt weapons useless (sword included), melee attacks harmful only too him, and the gravity suit neutralizes the gravity hammer to being nothing more than just an oversized stick
Power bombs makes any, and I do mean ANY attempts to get close only suicide. the blast radius is absolutely massive and they are stronger than grenades

it's a blade, not a spike.
but even than, as strong as he is, the blade wouldn't magically pass through her shield. even a spartan shield can block the Hammer's blade with it's shield once before popping, and their shield is dozens of times weaker than Samus.
and, more importantly, if she activates the screw attack before he swings, the hammer would just be destroyed on contact with her armor. assuming he doesn't get incinerated by a power bomb on his way over.

Yeah, ODST armor. Spartan armor is stronger.
Samus' armor, especially with it's shield, is a LOT stronger than Spartan armor, capable of withstanding FAR bigger blades from LARGER and STRONGER foes than Brutes or Spartans.
Just 'cause it's "Strong" in Halo, doesn't mean it strong by comparison in some other universe.

He stopped the flood and the Covenant, and it took him three games to achieve it once because neither the flood nor the Covenant were completely stopped in the first or second game.
the flaw with your statement, is that he's only saved the Galaxy (once). the Flood may very well exist outside the Milky way Galaxy according too the Forerunners, and the Halo's reach with 7 Halo's only encompased THIS galaxy when all of them are fired together.

Chief has no Identity, He's Master Chief Petty officer Spartan-II commando John-117. there's no secret Identity, the only secret about him is his origens due too the large amounts of illegal activity involved with the spartan project.
Samus has saved the universe, 3 times, from three completely seperate threats all as potentially as bad or worse than the flood, and she has just as much animosity about her as He does, many people in her universe think she's just a myth and that she doesn't exist

Stop talking as though we don't know anything about Chief, go Read Fall of Reach, you learn ALL about what he looks like, where he lived, and how he got to be what he is today
Halo's wipe out all life within range, their range is at most the Milky Way Galaxy.
Flood can take over the dead and living and memories? so Could the X parasites, Ing, and Phazon, all defeated by her.
