Hello there. I am desperately trying to find out why my imported/downloaded and self-made loops aren't looping correctly. I've tried almost everything but my loops are STILL NOT LOOPING!!! I set the properties to LOOP, set the tempo exactly and even tried beat-mapping but there is STILL a half-second "lag" in between each loop sector. It'll go: 1-2-3-4 then the loop will sound like it got "stuck" for a second and take the whole loop out of time in the measure. WHAT GIVES???

Well you can search out "Instrumentals" and "acapella" on your fav torrent app and create your own by cutting and mixing, or you can just search for the following..... "Prime Loops Hotfile" or "Prime Loops Rapidshare" and you will be able to download for free or minimal cost tonz of samples loops and such. also search "Loop dynamics hotfile" and rapidshare. This is not making a beat. I am a producer and proud to say that. I been working with all different kinds of DAWs. Acid is everything but a DAW. FIrst off, this is not even work of art of any kind. Acid sucks no matter if its pro or not. And I agree with most people that creating your own beat is 100 times more original and better. This is what i like to call the music production of lazy people that live in ghettos. Get a good DAW and start making something that isn't already made for you!

Start searching music to sample from vinyls, 70's soul music, YouTube videos of the type of music you want to sample etc. You can find what top producers have sampled if you Google "Whosampled".

So e-mail me and Ill tell you a hundred songs to sample ( that havent been used except by me). I assume you know know how to sample even know this tutorial is butt. Beautiful track, amazing to watch it all come together like that. Loved the jazzy sound with the tempo sped up. Thought u were about to trash it with the constant hi-hat and repetitive kickdrum and then you got a sweet beat going w/ the kicks. Was a lot of fun to watch.

well once you load the sample on the channel...you just need to double click on the coloured square on the top left on the track..then go to song properties and set it on ONE-SHOT mode...that way it will stay ''original''..However on the later stages of work...you will eventually need to adjust to LOOP-mode and therefore to another bpm of your choice. well from my experience from using both, actually they are pretty much the same, the only thing acid doesn't have is it's own stock library, but the explorer lets be use sounds from fl or and folder with sounds so it makes up. i prefer acid more because you learn to make music manually, as in matching loops and tracks, synchronizing, and it makes you better in mixing and mastering music. fl does alot for you IMO. fer samples i use Acid, if i wanna make a quick hit, i'd use FL

@vrobsizzle I have a really old and simple CPU too. I think my problem is that my one shot drums didnt load or something. I dont have them. There are ways to get around that though. I do have other samples I could use in place. My problem is manually arranging my drums to the measures. I dont know how to get the proper spacing. I learned by using a midi drum pad, so manual is foreign to me.

i turn off grid snapping so i dont even worry about measures and i can work freely with my tracks, rather than matching tracks to measures, i use the loop tool to loop a part i want to use, or to get a right drum pattern, the copy and paste
