  • you look pretty!

  • I love u Blanche, you're not a Mac whore, like just about every other youtube guru. I've always said u dont need expensive brushes when there are great cheap alternatives out there and really, no one sees them but u.

  • elf brushes are surprisingly good, esp for $1.(U can get them also at dollar general)I discovered them when i was doing a summer opera festival in the midle of nowhere western NY and DG was the only store close. The BofE brushes from CVS are great too.sally beauty carries brushes,r also good (think theyre called beauty secrets)Also u can go to a art supply store, esp for liner brushes, eye brushes etc.Brushes dont have to cost alot to be effective. In fact ive sometimes found pricey brushes inferior.

  • "It doesn't do anything. Although I still use it." lol Cute

  • Thanks for sharing. I've looked at quite a few videos on "beginner brushes" and this one is the BEST so far. Thanks again!!

  • I line my upper lashline with the elf eyeliner brush and the darkest brown in the la colors traditional palette wet WORKS WONDERS! However do not buy the elf lip brush, lip brushes are supposed to be hard, once it is washed it is very soft. Miss Blanche, you need to do some regular boy vlogs.

  • your georgeous :D

  • I totally agree, I find that the E.L.F brushes are really good and have not shed for me either. Whereas one of my M.A.C brushes has :S Thanks for the vid, I love your wig btw :)

  • Gorgeous! Love this wig, love it love it love it! You should do a Marilyn inspired look wearing it ^_^

  • I ran out and picked up the crease duo today, I know I will love them. Thanks for taking the time to do your videos. I love them all.

  • LOVE the necklace Blanche! HELLOOOOOOOOO KITTY!! :o)

  • I was at Target the other day and I couldn't find an E.L.F. display at all; so just be wary that your store may not be carrying their products. On the bright side I applied for my first job! :-D

  • i love you more with every video.

shout out to all my girls from texas!

  • great info and looking great xxx

  • You are amazing- thank you so much for showing us great brushes that are affordable! And I just have to say that you have the most amazing eyes! Gorgeous!

  • You know - with that hair, and that face, you are totally serving some fish! <3

  • GORGEOUS!

  • YOU LOOK GREAT, LADY!! =]]

  • Well my goodness gracious, you look positively stunning today! Have you tried using a dense flat top kabuki style brush for your foundation? I recently switched to that, and LOVE it for liquid foundation. I've heard good things about elf brushes, but I LOVE Sigma. I know they're pricier than drug/craft store, but they're so, so worth it. I like the LC MM, but some seem a little scratchy to me. Can't beat a duofiber brush for applying MSF or cheek highlights.

  • Oh, and btw--I love you to pieces. I didn't have room, so I'm typing more, lol! I'm definitely going to check out the Essence of Beauty brushes. I think it's a great idea to start out with "cheaper" brushes to get a feel for what you like/use most, and then "upgrade" when you have funds. The Sigma brushes are so, so much cheaper than MAC, but every bit as good. I want the new professional set--BAD. All of your tips are awesome!

  • it's so lovely to see a guru recommending cheap brushes! thankyou for a great vid xx

  • I have that elf brush you said you hated and not to buy, I agree with you but I bought mine for 70 cents.

  • I use that blending brush by ELF very often. It is my favorite blush for applying soft crease color. :)

  • This hair looks so natural on you, I love it when I see you wearing it. <3<3

I love how you are doing Inexpensive brushes; Unlike others on here would only do expensive brushes, or brushes that are usually out of others reach.

People have to realize that as long as it gets the job Done, that's all that matters.

  • Very good info. Thank you Blanche!!

  • I HATE the E.L.F. bronzer and total face brush, they are SO pokey, I use them just to sweep away fall out and thats it. I really want to try this giant powder brush by ECO Tools, its sold at target, it looks so cool and its really big and dense, its like 10 bucks, I'm gonna buy it soon I hope.

  • Blanche! You are darling! Thank you for being so inspirational.

    XOXO

  • I found all the e.l.f. brushes at dollar general for a buck :)

  • @DiLoSh1984 I actually got the flower part from Michael's craft store. They were some kind of window sun catcher decoration I think. I just out them on earring clips. lol.

  • How cute are you! Thanks for this video. Always enjoyable to watch your stuff.

  • You look FAB today! Love the eyes.

  • OMG I <3 the necklace lol. and the flower and the earrings! lol.

  • love the necklace :D

  • Thanks for showing that one does not have to spend $1,000 for brushes!

  • love, love, LOVE your necklace! where'd you get ittt!?

  • @wtfamey I made it forever ago. lol.

  • you're adorable !!

  • I also use the Target "Concealer" brush as a lip brush.

I went into Target originally looking for a lip brush, but found the concealer instead. It was on sale (either 34cents or 84cents), so I grabbed 3.

    It's perfect.

  • when you wash your brushes be sure you are pointing the brush part down and that you are only getting the hairs wet and not the handle or metal parts....water seeps into it and that is why they get loose and fall apart or rust :)

  • Lovely brushes :D Thanks for the advice :)

  • I think I wanna make a video response to add onto your suggestions. =P AND I wish you made this sooner so I had known the Revlon blending brush wasn't a waste because I would have actually bought it instead of putting it down! XD

  • Even though I already have a fairly extensive brush collection, this is extremely helpful. :]

  • love the hello kitty necklace !! :)

  • Essence of Beauty from CVS and Ecotools from Walgreens also make good brushes :) x

  • @Kx1942O2212 I have some ecotools too! They're pretty good :]
