Man I went stereo shopping today just to find out that they dont make Pioneer primier anymore what a drag bought some kickers 6x9 they sound horrible, memephis audio is okay but not all that, I did ask who would sell the premier brand and everybody told me that I haven't come across them lately I bought some regular pioneers but they are okay. Pioneer bring them back they were one of the better quality speakers out there at one time preatty good bang for your buck.

The model number on these Pioneer Premiers are the Champion Series Pros. Either the TS-W3001D or the newer model TS-W3002D(the only noticeable difference is the cone, the specs and parameters are basically the same). These things will hit, will give the Kicker L7s a run for their money BUT idk about beat them... would have to have both in their perfect setups to be totally honest(I HAAAAATE kicker though) RE will knock the HECK out of Kicker ANYDAY! RE MT, Cactus, DD, any of those three will!

Kind of its called efficiency. Cheaper amps are less efficient. It may take 2 watts from your battery and alternator in order to get your amp to give you speakers 1 watt. that amps would be 50% efficient. D class amps are usually around 75-95% efficient. A/B class amps are 50-60% efficient. Never get a A/B amp to push your subs.. unless its one of the better brands like Rockford Fosgate or JL audio and some others. and the volts part is called voltage drop. Google it. its VERY IMPORTANT.

Diamond D6 12's cost about the same or less and hit way harder with clarity. But if you like that muddy sound and all.....by all means go for the pioneer. I am not a big ported/muddy fan though...some people like that but i would rather be impressed by the true power of the subs.....not over extended muddy bass.

i been debating on a system change. i was thinking of using the 2 i have there the dual 2ohm ones. currently in my 99 tiburon i have 2 sound stream SPL 170 15's in a sealed box with 2 4000 watt kicker amps. i'm debating if these pioneers would sound better in the vented 1.9 cubic foot per side box i have or if the 15's would be louder in there sealed box. anyone have any input?
