hahahah I cant even jump this from standstill, I don't have the feel for it JET!!;) but I can jump for 1 metre forward and stand on rear tire:D:D:D:D yeah fear is a prob 2 for me, I kept falling when I stretched my legs when jumping and now I adjusted the brakes I still don't stretch my legs:P but I got rid of it and now I jump like a cangaroo!:D:D:DD
If u have da trial bike it is easy to side hop from rear wheel...
Btw, what I have learned is that when pedal-kicking or side-hoping it is good to "fuck" the handling bar...
I used to think that if u better pedal-stroke u fly more far... it is not true... more important things is just to do super-preload and "jump" hard... and then use the pedal-stroke to let go off the force ;_)...
it will;) im tryin some new ways of jumpin further etc, but I have an echo team, so da trialbike;), and I can't really sidehop, its just that I don't try it and that I want to get a hang of some other stuf first;)
and btw, I am sorry, my english sometimes goes mad, I meant that on trial bike it is EASIER to sidehop from rear wheel not from deadstill two-wheels position...
heh overcome fear by doing stupid things that hurt. :P it seems to work. btw i can do this on a full suspension bike but i can only get about a foot in the air...
Uhh if your american i dont know if this will work but I found a K2 Hardtail at sportcheck for $450.00 cdn (tax not included)It would be a perfect first bike.
You expülain it so easily..
btu it isnt so easy..

when jumping, the front of the bike is pulled by the hands, but what makes the rear go up ? clipless pedals would help, but it's done without them.
Please explain.

pushing your arms forward and letting your legs come up brings the back up,

you pull back with your feet on your pedals.

I think i prefer Danny Macaskill.. I really like the street stuff he does. And his bike is just insane =)

you cant compare danny mac and ryan.. ryan is a super smooth trials rider, and danny does street
echotrial1992 3 years ago 12
street is still trials though.. i think that personally its cooler than the natural stuff ryan does..

Yeah, trial is hard, but you must keep it fun... U should not tire your ass off with things you are not prepared for...
For me to be completely happy is enough to learn sidehop :D...

Antho188188 4 years ago
Yes your right, he rides with Norco. The model of the bike is the Evolve by Norco I believe, of course he probably had them custom do things to it.
