  • Fantastic desensetizing ground training video!

  • I am 13 and will be 14 in september. and i will be getting my first yearling in a few months. it is also my first time ever training a horse do u have any tips for me thanks.

  • omg ur super

  • Like, like, a thousand times like!! It almost made me cry :')

  • I absolutely love watching you work with him! Teddy is a wonderful horse :D I have similar views to you with training horses, though I'm slightly new to it.

  • I love this!! its perfect

  • This is beautiful. I love the caption for the video that you have written as well. This is what real horsemanship is about. The bond. Keep up the great work.

  • J'aimerais tellement vivre ça avec certains chevaux de clubs <3 mais bon c'est pas possible ils sont pas destiné à ça =/

  • this song reminds me of MATILDA. lol

  • wow, very nice. this is the kind of things i did with my first horse.. i loved her, and trusted her so much, she was my best friend, and sadly i just sold her to an old couple for their 7 year old grand daughter.

  • That is really inspiring, very beautiful!

  • Damn! You have a SEXY ass! (and that chicks ass looks alright in those pants too)

  • Oooo is a very beutiful your relationshio with your horse ¡¡¡ Ten starts for your and for Teddy =)¡

  • I love what you do and I work in a very similar way with my horses. I love the arena you are using it just looks like the absolute perfect size please could you let me know the dimensions as we are about to build one and it so hard to know what size to go for? I'd really appreciate it. Well done for having such an amazing relationship with your beautiful horse :-)

  • Beautiful horse!!!!!! <3

  • i absolutely love this video ! you can tell he trusts you soo much<3!

  • I've seen this work before have you ever been to a terry meyers clinic he uses the same rope and everything

  • What a beautiful relationship you have with your horse. Great job. You both look like you're having fun, and that is what it is all about isn't it?

  • Lovely work! I'm impressed! :)

I just have to comment on one thing though. PLEASE don't coil the rope around your hand (like when you are leading him over the tarp at ~1:05-1:25). My mother-in-law lost her thumb this way when her horse spooked; when you coil the rope it can easily pull tight around your hand or a finger (and then.... pop!). A safer way is to fold the rope back and forth and hold it in the middle.

  • I dont have to put my horse on a lead rope in the arena, she just follows me. :D

  • You can see without a doubt that he trust u, and u trust him :) Keep up the good work! So amazing to see there is more ppl out there who cares so much :)

  • Amazing and beautiful ♥

  • omg i know this is from 2010 but this video is amazing like u and ur horse are amazing!!!

  • dang, you must have a really good friendship with that horse. must have taken alot of time training him alone

  • I LOLD AT THE GREEN BALL XDD /// GORGEOUS HORSE!!

  • That was amazing equitation!!!!!!! I like cantering bareback, too! This video was inspiring, and you have a beautiful and great horse. :)

  • Yay for the friendly game! A lovely video; thanks for sharing, and for taking the time to cultivate such a trusting relationship with this amazing animal.

  • Great!!! ^_^ What is the name of the song playing?

  • Wow amazing video you should be so proud of the bond you have with your boy he obviously trusts you unconditionally which is what everyone should have with their horse! Great work!

  • What's the title of the song? :k

  • my friend can ride her horse with just a rope around his neck. pretty skilled.

  • wow

  • I wish my horse was as amazing as your horse :')

She's a 4 year old rescue Tennessee Walker (First horse, and yes, I know it's stupid to get such a young horse as a first :P)

    She's nervous, so I have to re-break her :|

This video gives me hope that I can break her.

I love this video so much! :D

  • great video! the tarp work is awesome, he really trusts you!

  • amazing...

    what else can i say?

  • this vid never fail to inspire me.

  • Thats a great team! And partnership :]

  • So beautiful <3

  • I have a gelding. Four months ago, he bucked me off (well, more like side-steped, got me out of the saddle, and then bucked away) around four times within the month, making me scared to death. It seemed like I didn't know how anything! Just a few days ago, however, I did something strange. I tried to be more confident, and for some reason that made me trust him more. I rode for like an hour. I haven't ridden him since, but I can't wait until I do! =) I'm happy I realized how important trust is.

  • the 14 people that disliked this video are crazy! very very good video! GREAT JOB!

  • awwww thats the cutest video ever...so cute

  • I had a horse just like that. I could go under her, and put the big ball under her. She was a rescue. She died in October, of a bad colic. :( Now I have another rescue horse (mare) and it's starting over time. She doesn't like her ears or poll touched, so we just lightly touch them everyday. She clearly isn't going to let us clip her bridle path. So we bought a hand massager, to rub on her, and get her used to the noise, and realized no pain, no fear, but it takes time.

  • The bond you have with your horse is beautiful and amazing I swear when I saw it, it made tears come to my eyes

  • @Ilovehorsesandballet It made me almost cry, too! Lovely to see the harmony between this horse and his rider =)

  • Amazing :) I am jealous of that bond you have with your horse! :)

  • Amazing U R A Natural...

  • hey! this song is from Matilda! i love that movie...

  • that hourse is beautifull>3

  • He's very adorable(:

  • Absolutely beautiful! What an inspiration!!! This is what it's all about!!!! Thank you for sharing your special bond with your horse with the world!

  • Great, you made me cry. lol, I guess I'm a big softy but you have a great relationship with your horse. Good groundwork is the foundation for all great horses and it shows that you've put care, time, and effort into him. He also looks great!

  • So inspirational! My horse will be like this some day.

  • I am so incredibly impressed. I have been thinking about buying a green horse and training it myself so that I could develop a good bond with it and this completely convinced me. There is an obvious incredible bond between you and your horse. He's absolutely gorgeous by the way :) I wish you the best of luck in everything you two try to achieve!

  • beautiful horse!! is he a gelding?

  • what movie maker do you use?

  • What an amazing bond!

  • love this sooo much :) xx

  • Omg this is a great video! and that horse is very beautiful!!!

  • Comment removed

  • That was extremely cute. :) <3

  • This is awesome! Whish I had a bond like that with my horse, something I'm working on, this video is definetly inspirational!

  • i love your quote in the description. maybe it is a vow that every human training, working, and/or living with an animal should recite?

  • love this video

  • tbh i would be scared of the horse :D but then i suppose it might know and be gentle with me <3 cute!

  • That horse is beautiful and you are an excellent trainer! i can tell our horse REALLY loves and trusts you and he knows you're a good person:)

  • AWWW This was so cute! I did this with Tomato (the horse i use to ride) and he loved it!!

  • This is so amazing :) I was planning on doing this with my horse because he was abused, but someone broke into my barn and poisoned him. Sadly, he died before I could make anymore progress with him. On the good side, we made a lot of progress in the time we had together. :)

  • Great stuff. Now try doing that on a busy road with other horses around. Get real, horses respond to context and environment! Speaking from experience, ours live on a hill in the city.

  • That's fantastic! he trusts you and you trust him!

what a great bond you guys have :)

  • This is inspirational! Just wondering, how long did it take you to get him accustomed to the tarp and bouncy ball and how did you introduce him to it? Thanks!

  • hey i have recently bought a 2 year old and i was wondering where to start... u and your horse seem to have a great relationship and i was wondering how to build one with my horse

  • Wow you have a really good seat baback :)

  • OMG! That is so amazing!! Its so obvious that you and teddy have a special bond that can never be broken. :) I do have one question though... Have you ridden him bareback before?? Just curious. AAAWWW Hes sooooooo cute

  • You guys are perfect! (:

  • You really are a good leader! I would LOVE to have a way with a horse like you!!!!:)Well everybody can do it if they try.....and wait:)

  • did h ever buck u off when u first got on him?

  • omg it reminds me of when i took riding lessons and i completely fell in love with one of the horses. we understood eachother and had 100 percent trust in eachother. i loved her like no other. i never saw anything i had to do for her as work, it seemed like a blessing. but unfortunelty she wasnt my horse and the other people were quite cruel to her. i snapped at them to stop harrassing her but they were the owners kids and i got kicked out, i still miss her. this video made me cry ;)

  • Amazing, you and your horse are a perfect team. U 2 are meant for each other! <3

  • Cudowny koń!!!!!!

  • Magnifique! J'adore <3

  • lol u r shit

  • Gorgeous horse and awesome to see such a bond between horse and rider. I never did parelli with my old horse but he would follow me about the stables :) very cute

  • when lunging your supposed to engage his hindquarters and make it turn on it hindquarters no you move around him

  • This just gets more and more inspiring the more I watch it... truly the ultimate bond between horse and rider.. you two belong together <3

  • You have no idea how much this has helped me. Thankyou!!!

  • I did something like this with my old horse and it does really help the trust and relationship between horse and rider....love it

  • @SpiritSmoosh yeaa sydnie baby!!:))) xxx

  • I love Parelli as it truly helps you understand your horse. My pony got into it and those halters and savvy ropes really help!!

  • i realy lie this! true horsemanhip there rww thats sweet, nice xx

  • Incredible.

  • I loved this video...perfect training...kind, sweet, slow...thank you!

  • you two are amazing! really i love it! :)

  • What did you use to edit it? :3

    thanks XD LOVE it btw.

  • I am 50...have wanted horses for several years. My husband (57) and I just bought our first horses. We are beginners and wanting to learn the right way. This video is amazing, I had tears while watching this. Thank you for taking the time, I am so glad we saw this in the beginning of our new exciting journey.

  • @BrendaScharman Congratulations! I wish you and your husband the best of luck on the incredible journey ahead of you.

  • after seeing this video it inspired me to do parelli, your amazing and the trust he has for you is amazing i got a massive yoga ball for xmas and a parelli headcollar and am slowly building up the confidence and trust between me and my horse ,, thank you soo much :D xx

  • it's so nice to watch videos like this! good job :)

  • WOULD LOVE FOR YOU TO WORK WITH MY BELOVED RESCUE!

  • This video was amazing. Just that you love him so much to take some actual time to get him to trust you and to let him know that you're his friend. Unlike some owners who only want a horse for competition or money. This was really touching. :)

  • That was absolute magic, really. You are truly amazing, I feel inspired by this great show of what patience, love, and good leadership can bring.

  • I loved this video. You say you broke him yourself? That's pretty amazing. Beautiful horse too. :)

  • To my Inspiration"YOU" how long did it take you to get him to just standing there?:)

  • This is an example of a beautiful delicate bond between horse and rider. Every rider should embrace this delicate bond and make sue it never brakes. This is amazing! Horses speak a different language but they understand humans with eyes, thoughts, body language, and touch.

  • horses are not JUST animals they are the best animal and the most trustfull animal in the world

  • beautyfull video, you understand the way it have to be like

  • I am watching this vid at least 1 time a day :D <3

  • btw great video;)

  • if you can...

  • hi i'm writing this comment not to the video but to you. keep this in mind and please reaply. :) you see i started to ride at 10 or 11 but it seemed very strict and forcfull and because of money had to stop even thoughs lessons and some of my family have horses but still have the "do what i say or you'll get smacked" attitude so i left ridding (reluctintly) frustrated and very unsatisfied. i would just like to ask you how you did it, not just the training but the bond. please write long =)

  • this is so amazing is he for sale

  • this is really cool!

  • Fantastic! My show mare went to a new home today due to college, and I miss her now. :(

  • omg, i love this video its so inspirational <3

  • do you still have teddy? you never post about him anymore :(

  • All I can say is WOW! I have never seen such a strong bond. Did you break this horse from scratch?

  • u r amazing! awesome horse

  • wow! u r amazing!

  • Did you by any chance get your skills from Clinton Anderson: Horsemanship videos?? It looked familiar.

  • BEAUTIFUL! I try to do the same things with my horse. Can i ask you how long have you worked with him to complite this level?

  • this was truly beautiful to watch! Keep up the great work!

  • Wonderful video. I'm looking forward to trying some of your groundwork excercises with my gelding.

  • This is beautiful! I love the way you work with him, I wish I could do that with my monster, but he literally tries to kill me. I've been trampled by him more that once.

  • hes beautiful but whats with his tail? it looks horrible :(

  • @bella131517 D: Are you crazy! Teddy has a BEAUTIFUL thick even tail D:

  • @SandbackRider it is beautifully thick but it is very short! there tail is supposed to be that length when they are moving..not when they are standing..its supposed to be longer so when they have their tails up it looks like that..other than that he is gorgeous

  • @bella131517 I hope you realize that in this he was only five (Ithinksoatleast) or six. It takes a LONG time for his tail and mane to grow. and not to cut it.

  • @SandbackRider no i didnt realize that..i had no idea lol

  • @bella131517 this horse is gorgeous!

  • @CandyBelle01 he is very gorgeous and btw they cut it..its completely straight and we just got a 2 year old tb at my barn and his tail his thin but long..just wanted to point that out

  • your horse is beautiful!

  • i really like your video..any training tips i could use?

  • <3 talk about a bond <3

  • YOU are great at riding and with horses. i mean, so am i but, waow!

  • natural horsemanship?! OH YEAHH!!

  • tarps are good, but see if the horse will let you throw a barrel over its back, or put the tarp over the head, my Boy let me. Crazy stuff :)

  • Do you ride at Ridgewood Equestrian? they have a horse there called teddy who looks just like your teddy and the arena looks exactly the same (i know all do but this one just looks like Ridgewoods) lolz

  • Well Done. Simply excellent partnering and building a strong foundation of trust.

  • Omg, 3:13 was just so sweet!

  • this is so precious!

  • That was absolutely beautiful! The bond you two have is obvious... I thought i recognized some Pat Parelli techniques in there? *Natural horse-man-ship all the way* wonderfully done. Mutual trust, love, and respect is the only way to be truly happy with your horse (at least that's my opinion). <3

  • i cryed... thats how wonderful this is

  • Aww the little head bobbing he did when you bounced the ball~ priceless

  • Just beautiful! your so lucky :)

  • You have an amazing horse, and bond! This video makes me so envious! I love horses with all my heart, but I can't afford to keep one. I hope one day I have a horse like this that I can connect with. You are a great rider, and have a beautiful horse!

  • You are an inspiration to me and everybody who has watched this video! And your horse is beautiful. You are sure to go really really far with him, so good luck in the future:-)

  • your horse teddy is beautiful im glad u love him so & he loves u dont ever let him go u are so cute together!!!

  • Wow that's amazing. I aspire to ride like that someday soon now that I'm working for a sort of half-pension so I can do things I wouldn't be able to do in lessons. I'm 16 too, and the horse, Cookie, is 17 and as peppy as a 7 year old XD ^.^ Any instructional videos (either from you or that you know of) would be GREATLY appreciated. thanks so much for the great vid ^.^

  • just a litte tip, i do a lot of ground work for my friends and when you are asking him to turn on his hindquarters toward you, it would be best if u looked at his hindquarters to disingage them then look at his shoulders to get him to go the other way. he understand it more and respond a lot quicker.

  • There has been so many times I have wanted to give up. But each time I watch this is inspires me to carry on. Thank you.

  • this makes me smile and tear at the same time the bond you have with your horse is amazing

  • WOW!!!!!!! THIS IS MORE THAN INSPIRING GOOD JOB! I love this and you, your horse too! I have a horse named Quincy and sh is sort of shy do you think this would work with her?

  • your bond is amazing and teddy is such a stunner , i dont own a horse yet but when i do i hope our bond is as strong as this one ! x

  • I LOVE MOONSHINE AND TEDDY AND THEODORE!!! go horses!!! <3

  • Two months ago I saw a horse that was really skinny and not well fed. I stopped and asked if they wanted to sell it. I bought him without knowing anything about horses. I have never owned or even rode on one before. But little by little we have been learning together. After a lot of help from the veterinarian and with a bit of work on both our (horse and me) parts, he can now gallop while I'm on the saddle, but I still need work on my balance. I am going to do these exercises with him. :)

  • I Love this video, Watch it every weekend!! started doing this daily with my ex racer im starting to make a video cheek it out soon :P

  • @shannonandzues I have been doing(well, trying lol) some of her exercises, she does and it helped me and my horse so much :) I Thank her so much :) good luck with him/her :D

  • the horse is like, what you doin with that sheet you muppet :P
