  • OLED is much better

  • Ha! OLED Is already here, and is in cellphones (samsung galaxy s) and portable dvds by sony!!

  • @theoc1998 This is not OLED. It is a flexible, transparent plasma display. It is very similar to transparent OLED displays which are yet to hit the market. This display uses invisible plasma gas that illuminates when charged with electricity, much like OLED in appearance, but still very different.

  • making fun of people is "wong" guys!

  • he said glass tube.

  • Whth breast juice either?

  • omg

  • like tvs on walls downtown, buses, trains, even cars. .

  • flexible displays are the future. the application of this tech is going to be astounding. cant wait for the future...

  • @e1337d00m i knoq i can throw something at it and it wont break

  • @e1337d00m "the application of this tech is going to be astounding" That is the biggest load of sh*te I've ever had the misfortune to read...you are talking about a TV basically, yet you believe this will astonish you, like something you have never seen before, yet the ONLY difference between this and a traditional plasma TV, is that it is flexible...you are an idiot

  • @e1337d00m ITS ALREADY HERE AS OLED

  • breast juice lolololiololololololol

  • breast tubes..........

  • hhahahh breast juice!!

  • breast juice? 0:37

  • LMAO! I kno right! what the hell is he saying!

  • @d3tach3d glass tubes, meaning he is trying to explain that it is the general shape :).

  • When can I get one. Hmmmm drools like Homer Simpson over a box of glazed doughnuts.

  • If it were not for foreign competition the world would still be using CRT's for gods sake.

  • can you really roll up that screen like a sheet of paper?

  • A shame OLED's will make this as redundant as the beta video system...

  • ive got a 60" plasma n thats doing me just fine, but i gota say DAMN lol

  • You half-wit

  • Great now I can steal televisions easier. Thanks technological advancements.

  • ahahha

  • great joke. Or not? :D

  • i want one

  • It's like the video screen on the Star Trek ships. Amazing!!!!

  • ohhh, grass tubes! Very green..

  • lol!

  • Cool I've always wanted a TV I can put up with thumbtacks

  • It's like the tv posters in megaman battle network!

    Cool!

  • projections tv don't produce good color

  • This isn't a projection, this is an LED screen A flexible one.

  • LED is liquid crystal display, and produces the most natural colors, although can be a bit thick.

  • You mean LCD is Liquid Crystal Display.

LED is Light Emitting Diode. LED Displays can be made via RGB LED's.

    This is a Plasma Screen.

  • owned.

  • Also the new LED technology can produce higher resolution.

1200p I think it was. It's odd that this screen uses such a low resolution, can it really be LED?

And Lol who the fuck still used Projection TVs. XD

  • The stupid, I cannot comprehend it

  • Rashin, really?

  • They have 1200i, not 1200p. 1920x1200 is 1200i. 1920x1080 is 1080p. There is no 1200p. Anyway. That's not led. led screens are thicker. It really is a plasma screen. No way any other screen can be thin enough to flex. Too bad plasma screens imprint burns too easy.

  • Ever heard of Sony OLED? flexible and extremely thin..

  • Yeah, but this is probably cheaper for now. For example, a 40" plasma will run you as little $1,000, while OLED is currently ten times that, at $10,000, for the same size. So, this could have some market potential. Not to mention the size screen they made with that technology is enormous. Wow! I don't think that OLED can match that in size yet.

  • Led or oled's are not thicker. At 0.002 mm thick, better blacks, better colour reproduction and lower power drain.

  • ....can we not use projectors? im pretty sure they are cheaper, have better quality, cost less, and would use less electricity........

  • Cheaper? no

    Better Quality? not really

Cost less - same as cheapers

less Electricity - the good ones don't

  • i didnt understand the second part of your reply,it didnt really make sense, and one projector can cover ove 35 feet, instead of 125 inches, and maybe they are not cheaper, but i think they would be more practical than mounting a giant TV that probably weighs over 1000 pounds on a wall.

  • have you lifted any TV's lately they are getting bigger and bigger but also getting lighter

  • Buuuut a projector is still lighter

  • They have terrible black levels (it just looks grey) the colors look washed out & the picture is never very sharp even on the best ones i've seen..

But there is always some idiot who raves about them because they have a BIG picture..

Personally i'd rather watch a good picture..

  • I have a 65 inch projecter downstairs a 50 inch plasma upstairs. the projecter was actually cheaper, but 50x heavier and higher shipping. but the grey thing isn't true. they can actually go below LCD's black levels. and plasmas look like shit unless its in 720p-1080p. If you have HD available, get a plasma. If you want a cheap TV for the kids gaming rooms, get a projection.

  • This'll be great for things like town squares and airports where information needs to be big and visible, but not necessarily high res. The lower energy usage will make it most cost efficient for industrialized use as well!

  • I can't wait for this to come onto the market
