can you give me some tips on this camera. I just got it and i dont relly know how to adjust it so it takes good pics on full zoom. mine pictures are very blury when i zoom in.
I just got the a300 yesterday, seems like an very good camera. Bought it for 100$, because of a system fail, which made the price to be lower than usual in the Sony Style net store. Some hour after i bought the camera, the price was set to around 900-1000$. So I saved some money ;) Thx SONY ;)
i just have same choice, and i decided for the sony because you can use old minolta lenses....for the nikon yu need lenses with an own motorization, what makes it more expensive...
The Sony A300 will give you the same superb shots just like the Nikon D60. However, the Sony offers better price and an on board image stabilizer (savings of $100-$180). If you don't intend to career photography and more of a hobby, A300 is just fine.
I have had the a300 for 1 month. It's a really nice dslr for the money. The live view works like a point and shoot. No other camera in it's class comes close. The tilt lcd is a huge asset. You can take photos at very low or very high positons. This is nice for macro. My picture are beautiful without any enhancements from software. Canon is nice but I think sony put more thought into the design.
Is this a snapshot camera?

A300 with the battery grip, many excellent Minolta lenses out there, is a the way to go.
An excellent camera, I upgraded from a Nikon D100 and 70s
