Like most tech companies, they legally leave the responsibility of potential data loss up to him, anything could have happened there. I wouldn't trust ANYONE with my data, Apple employee or not.

I used to have a mac when I was a kid but I switched when I turned 12. The prices of imacs skyrocketed. It's like 1300$ for a normal imac, my custom PC was 570$ and has way better specs then the a normal imac. I'm surprised how people don't even know they're getting ripped.

Um I didn't say anything about Vista. I'm using Windows XP Pro. I switched to XP from Vista a month ago after having some driver issues. I've seen iMacs with really low specs for around 1200$. Plus better specs DOES make it a superior computer. No matter what OS you have benchmarking in any kind of program in a different OS each time your most likely to get the same results each time.

there are more variables to it. you can't just say more ram & processing speed = better performance. if you have viruses and spyware bogging you down, the less decked-out mac will still outperform.

If the all the hardware and software does not work harmoniously, again, it won't be any better. And that's where apple gets it right every time.

I can't debate which is better. I'm just saying, sometimes a low-end mac works so flawlessly, a windows machine with twice the power still can't touch it.

Well I'm using Avast anti-virus. Haven't gotten a virus in over a year. My PC runs like it should. Nothing is slowing it down at all. My desktop is clear of icons. Everything is in the quickstart bar. It takes a little over 15 seconds to start it up. Not ALL PC's that use Windows are the same. Lots of people build their own PC's like I did. Most custom PC's top most Macs by far. Only idiots get viruses from going to attacked sites and pirating shit.

The boot up speed of computers is not very much based on the CPU rather then the Speed of your Hard Drive. If you send me a video of a mac that gets to it's desktop in 5 sec you get a cookie.

Normally this can only work on Hard Drives on a 1000 rpm.

Basically, if you are using Windows and/or Mac OS, you are litterally in the middle of a proprietary war in with you the customer will always lose. Its not really the store employees fault that the hard-drive decides to fail when transfering files, and expecting them to pay for a data recovery company to get then back is quite unrasonable. Those companies take fortunes to get file back, at worst it might cost tens of thousands of dollars.

Or just understand that computers are the most unreliable appliances in our homes and you should take some personal accountability for not backing up in the first place.
