You probably don't care about this, but since I kinda overplayed the first Mappy way back then...

In the bonus level you're supposed to wear down the trampolines to get through faster. You do this by pushing left or right against a wall, making your jumps last only a fraction of a second and thus breaking them in time to get all balloons. You still need some planning.

That took me way back, heh.

Epilogue---

Mappy Land 2: Son of Mappy was canceled when several of the designers were immolated by angry fans. No one pressed charges, including the badly burnt designers. Mappy Jr. and Mapico became minimalists, asking for one and sometimes 0 items per level. Goro was arrested and sentenced to crazy cat lady houses for 2 to 10 years.

Mappy took a 48 week nap. He was awarded the title of Master of Mappy Land and granted heat vision.

I must admit that while my first reaction was "WHAT?! They couldn't even give the game a real ending?! That's HORRIBLE!", it's actually rather fitting given than Mappy Land is Hell, since the popular notion of Hell is a place in which you're stuck doing the exact same thing over and over again for all eternity. Reminds me of the spikes ending of Karoshi 2.
