Yeah good voice man, you can clearly play too, but it completely ruins the feel and soul of the song... His songs are about infinite nuances in timing and dynamics. And incredible vocal phrasing, i hate people who bitch like this but it seems like this version misses the point to me...sorry. ;-(

No worries! i saw him Last month in Glasgow and he was amazing,such a great artist! i see you like Bon Iver too!! lol liking the musical taste lol he's ace too :) For Emma is a great album :)

ray is my hero and bon iver, oh man. i'm listening to "for emma, forever ago" at this very moment and have been for a month straight. literally. i have not taken it out of my player. unbelievable.

Yeah, the guy is a genius! and although very different,the Bon Iver album is quality too :) hey maybe you can help me?? there are vids on youtube of Ray called the BBC4 sessions!! he does a mindblowing version of Empty but i don't know where to find this album for sale/download any ideas??

hmmmm..."empty" is off of his second album entitled "till the sun turnes black". has that come out there yet? i imagine it has. that's the only version i know of other than random live versions floating around online.
