I rank this as an all time favorite. Just am confused why we dont hear his music on the radio. It is just as good as the Eagles!!! I too take this song very personal and just adore this and his others. My dad turned me on to this when I was a child and since his passing I love to hear this and look back on my wonderful memories of our time together. Doc Murphy was the greatest and I will never get over your passing!! RIDE TO LIVE DAD!!!!

Great song as a solo artist, the Eagles were great without him but I think they would have been greater if they would have kept him around a bit longer. He will always be an EAGLE in my eyes. Thanks for the great song writing Randy!

Randy was very handsome in past times. His smile is heartwarming & neat to see. I don't blame him for leaving the eagles, his personality was so different . It is easy to see how that can ruin any friendship within a band. Love ya Randy.

Randy was one of my favorite Eagles. His two hits with them"Try and love again" and "Take it to the limit" are two of their best.....And it really took away from their reunion shows not having him there to sing them. No one in the band (except for him) could hit those highs!

@widehd99 That was Marcy Levy . She was a member of Eric Clapton's band for many years. She co wrote a few songs with Eric. The original female vocal on the album was done by Wendy Waldman great songwriter herself and was in the band Bryndle.

GREAT video of Randy at his best Lottoman17!!!!! The Eagles have had Randy singing with them taken off of You Tub? Can't find a one when he sang and played with Eagles! They have really gone after Randy's,TAKE TO THE LIMITS! I can't find one video with singing that song with the Eagles! I believe it's because Glenn Frey is currently singing the song on their current tour. I'll be there to see the Eagles, April 27, 2010. I love Glenn's work, but if he sings Randy's song, I'm going to BOO him !

@guyinfl99 - TOTALLY AGREE!!! I saw a interview with Glen and Don Henley. Don said that this song, Take It To The Limits sung by Randy was the Eagles "first number "1" single release. I've heard Randy's health isn't all that good. He's pushing 70 yrs old so I hope the best for him!!!

@guyinfl99 Dittos goofy! I love the Eagles, Don, Glenn, Bernie, Felder, Joe. BUT, Meisner's exquisite voice made them even more. "Limit" sung by Randy was their best damn song, IMO. Long live the Eagles and all the best to Randy Meisner. And Don Felder for that matter.
