What would you recommend me, I am a beginning guitar player, but I have the intention to play a lot more (I've been playing for a year now, and it's becoming a passion), should I pay a hunderd fifty bucks more for this, or should I go for a cheaper Korg? Is this much better?

@shahril694 um well first off there are 24 banks with 4 patches each so that means that there are 96 different presets that you can choose from... so baisicly you program a clean sound to bank 1 patch 1 then program a distortionsound to bank 1 patch 2 and then all you need to do is press the 1 button for clean then the 2 button for distortion

I'd say it's based on what sound you're going for..You can pull off some really nice sounds with this pedal if you tweak it. Get vai type tones, heavy metal sounds like all that remains, or some stuff like joe satriani.
You can really get whatever you want on it if you like the type of tone on it to begin with.

i have ax30g and the ax1500g and both have so much hissing sound when in drive/distortion mode.even if the NR is in full throtle. do you have the same problem with the ax3000g?

The AX1000G makes my amp sound like it's going to explode with all the noise. On clean channel it's fine. I know there's NR, but that doesn't seem to help.
because im not plugged into the main input jack.. im not using the amplifiers effects so i am plugged directly into the effects loop on the back of the amp so all its using is the powerstage of the amp with my effects
I prefer line 6 x3 live but it's only my opinion. I think the best way to choose all that music stuff (guitars, pedals...) is testing all that things at music store.

no... this is not going to be as good as the gt8 for metal but its going to kick the gt 8's ass as far as being simple to use and operate and you can add in extra metal pedals in the loop anyway so it dosnt matter

it should be in the box it came in but it is a 6 volt dc output +---(o---- - so negative inside posotive outside and make sure its 600ma! if its not the pedal will not work!
You can set it to edit pretty much any parameter. If you choose Vox Wah for the Pre FX then you can choose for expression pedal to change the parameters of the Vox Wah sound from 1-10 or anywhere in between. 1-10 being a complete wah sound as if you were going from the first position in a traditional expression pedal to the 10th position. Also can set it to volume, depth for effects, mix for effects, ESS, etc. Very cool and useful.
A couple of comments below you answered someone asking if you can get Morello sounds with the pedal, and you said yes except for the Whammy...but ain't it possible to simulate a whammy by controlling the pitch shifter with the ESS ? I'm just really curious cause i ordered this bad-boy yesterday and i really wanna know what i'll be able to do with it. And what's that crazy ass sounds you do at the beginning ? (0.40)
yes there is a pitch shifter and you can controll it with the ess but i have yet to figure out how to make it sound good cause to be honest it sounds like crap the sound at the beggining is in a previous comment if you go back you will find the setting for it
Nice pedal man i have the same one.I can stick up for you man.You have too be pretty smart.Korg doesnt make it easy too set up all these good sounds.When i first got mine i had too adjust it to fit my amp.when i play live i have too set it up for the p.a system.So good job man and keep rocking.

Look for the little button on the top left of the ax3000g that ways "write" press it 1 time then if you want to change the button that activates it pres 1, 2, 3, 4 then press write again or if you dont want to change the position just press write twice
this is the only place on tthipedal where i find it lacking there are some good distortions and othe overdrive effects but if your trying to copy a specific tone its kinda hard

Nice pedal man i have the same one.I can stick up for you man.You have too be pretty smart.Korg doesnt make it easy too set up all these good sounds.When i first got mine i had too adjust it to fit my amp.when i play live i have too set it up for the p.a system.So good job man and keep rocking.

this will do pretty much any tom morello effect EXCEPT his whammy pedal you will have to spend the 200$ for that cause i dont think there is any pedal out there that does that

Look for the little button on the top left of the ax3000g that ways "write" press it 1 time then if you want to change the button that activates it pres 1, 2, 3, 4 then press write again or if you dont want to change the position just press write twice

alright if you go to any of the arpeggio settings and change the smooth to 10 and set the speed down to pedal you get that sound

this is the only place on tthipedal where i find it lacking there are some good distortions and othe overdrive effects but if your trying to copy a specific tone its kinda hard
