My 2010 5.7L Hemi rocks. I will have to keep it for a long time, though, in order to know about the quality. It sure has a lot of zip on the highway. Uses gas, too.
@Jackd91 is the best thing you can think of to say? year and a half I had to change brakes, clutch, gear box (replace with AX-15), front transmission, shocks, fuel pump, fan cluch, and more, much more ... and only traveled eight thousand miles! all parts used were original, and changed into JEEP authorized workshops, and despite, again damaged ... was changed again with original parts and sold (almost given away). Now I have an enemy given by JEEP ... see ya dude ...
@jerseytoman1212 I have a 2008 Land Rover LR3 and a 2010 Jeep Rubicon and this thing is a joke. My Father in law has one of these. They came to Colorado from Chicago to see the mountains. We took them on some mild trails, my wife and kids took the LR3 and I went with the in-laws in the Jeep as he was inexperienced off road. We found out it has NO axle articulation (feels very tippy, the LR3 has cross-linked air shocks) and electronic LSD struggled when the Land Rovers did not.
Sarting price 41,000. No wonder i'm drinving a ten year old car around. You'd have to take out a second mortgage on your forclosed house in order to buy one. I think it's time to bring down prices, especailly since there're no jobs, or those of us lucky enough to have some crappy low paying job are just going to start riding a bike around. Go take a flying fuck car companies.
I look forward to the 2011 Grand Cherokee. I think it will be the first true bridge of off-road and on-road performance. Toyota Cruisers have been good both on and off road, but they're huge, get even worse gas mileage, oh yeah, and they cost 70K!
You have me confused with your own sordid story. Your father abandoning you has resulted in your need for approval from other men. I however did not experience those rejection issues. I wish you luck in getting the help you need to recover from you misguided search in the colons of other men for validation.
What happened at 2.09? I wondered why a limited slip didn't work immediately when one of the wheels was spining above the ground? Why waited for seconds?
I have a 04 the GC they redesigned it for 05..but i love it!!!!!!!!! I-6 motor will last forever but the gas mileage SUCKS! 14 city and 20 if im lucky on the highway my only bitch about it. The selectrac 4 wheel system rocks!
it was a crazy rare option that began in either 2000 or 2001 and i'm 80% certain is was only found on the laredos. and yea it's awesome. when i bought it, it had a few scratches here and there and a few dings, but once i saw the selec-trac (242) transfer case on it, i was going to buy it even if it had no bumper lol. (it did have a bumper haha i'm just saying)
@Knox48x You must have a heavy right foot then....I had a 99 & 03 4.0L with selectrac and averaged around 20 mpg over all and 24mpg on the highway was the norm. When I drove across country on the interstates I could regularly go 400+ miles beween fill ups! Now - the 5.7L hemi gives me around 15mpg in town and 21 on the highway - but it's mid grade fuel which sucks!
@tomburley don't have a heavy right foot at all..don't get me wrong i use my jeep and i bought it in 05 with 46,000 miles..never got more than 15.8 city but have gotten 22 mpg on the highway
@Chryslersucks1 lawsuit or sell it and buy a 2009 hemi :D

It should work instantly, shouldn't it?
nomatterwhoiam 2 years ago
The wheel will still spin a little bit. It doesn't stop immediately but it takes it a minute to route the power to the correct wheel.
getalife04 2 years ago 2
Viscous diff. Needs to spin a bit and then power is routed.

343FirNaTine 3 years ago
haha hows that? i my I-6 and my lie o meter overhead says 13.5 and i baby it on the roads! Man a V8 with the SelecTrac 4 wheel system would rock!!
