  • Ha sido muy interesante escuchar a Sting interpretando música Celta. Es una buena interpretación de un muy bello tema.

  • I guess Sting can actually sing.

  • i heard a hammered dulcimer in there???

  • this is nice but leonard brings a gravitas to this song that cannot be matched!

  • This strangely id quite good..

  • I really prefer the original version! No one can sing this song better than Cohen !

  • sorry leonard. sting totally owned that song.

  • The Celtic version is much more better than Leonard Cohen's version!

  • An awesome version - combining the best of Cohen/Sting/Chieftains! I even want to dance when I hear it!

  • I love this song- I heard it first back in 95' and thought WOW!

  • I never would have expected that Sting and The Chieftains would do a cover of Leonard Cohen. They did an amazing job with this amazing and beautiful song.

  • @Justice1999 if you think this is unusual, you should check the video of ziggy marley and the chieftans doing redemption song....... (not a remix) ziggy sitting with the aul lads lol

  • great repose to Cohen's song, nice rendition that does honour to both the music and its author. The words are so sensitive, and the singer makes it more so. Thank you.

  • a perfect poem, a great version of Sting + Chieftains...

  • Tread Lightly; Listen

  • My favorite version of my favorite Cohen song. Just beautiful. All of the other covers on Tower of Song album are amazing, too. Thanks.

  • Thank you for posting this. I have only heard Cohen.

He's great. I guess for those who know that, the comment is redundant but it's always a good thing to repeat what's good.

  • Aside from right here, where is this recording available?

  • It's an album called "Tower of song"

  • This one gobsmacked me. Sting and The Chieftains doing Leonard Cohen?

But damn, it sure works! Great cover!

  • ...fazinierend !

  • Sting is the sexiest man EVER on this planet !!!

  • holland greats you my borther

  • I'm stung in Chicago.

  • Wow...Cohen sung by Sting plus irish athmosphere = a perfect connection!

    Thx. for uploading!!

  • The coolest version of this song.

  • I haven't heard this before. Thanks much for posting it!

  • Bizarre but successful :o)

  • I love this. It's Sting, the Chieftans, Cohen, all doing their things their way, and doing it well.

  • Sting gets the freedom of Dublin city

  • Jewish boy from Montreal writes a St. Paddy's Day classic

  • Love this :-)

  • lindo cover, esta cancion es de las mas hermosas q hayan existido, gracias por subirlo

  • gracias a ti por comentar, me alegro de que te haya gustado ;)

  • A terrific arrangement and performance of one of Cohen's loveliest pieces! I'm frequently surprised at how variations on Cohen's work can be completely different from his originals yet have their own charm and power. (Much like Rufus Wainwright's campy/vampy rendition of Everybody Knows is so cool.) Here, though, the melancholy of the original has been replaced with what can only be described as joy. Odd, but it works.

  • the melancholy is still there. the irish arrangement only adds to it.............

  • Wow...I happened on this video by chance; not only is it one of my favorite Leonard Cohen songs, but sung and instrumented by amazing artists at the top of my list. Thanks for posting this gem!
