This song is in my top ten favorites ever. I'm an old school rock and roller that will be Fabulous 50 in a couple of months. This song came out in 1988, I was 28.
The message of the song is what it's all about.
I exploit you, still you love me, I tell you 1 and 1 makes 3, I'm the Cult of Personality.
Very political song...JFK, MLK, FDR voices...anyone know who the first voice is in the video? I do!
People get old guys, they have been there and done this already. One of my favorite bands, but they probably know when to throw in the towel, and get out while the getting is good.
What blows is that Corey can still REALLY sing like a motherfucker but Vernon Reid has lost his passion for this band and is barely playing. I saw them when I was a senior in highschool and they fucking TORE IT UP HARD. It was literally one of the best shows I have ever seen. They are far removed from that now, but I bet if they wanted they could comeback, they still have the talent and the chops, but without passion, you are lost.
Yeah I agree with you, I think audio quality probably hurt this a little bit, but it was pretty brutal for the most part. Vernon was playing incredibly sloppy and I think that the rhythm part was way worse and out of tune than the solo even...
Great song, but it wasn't well represented in this video.

the worst thing about rocklahoma!! these racist liberal pukes who are just going to vote for barack hussein obama because hes black!! i hate this band with everything in me
man this show was great at rocklahoma. I was up in the VIP area watching the show, and afterwards I got Vernon's autograph! and he gave me a guitar pick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm not trying to brag im just a kid lol.
and for everyone saying this sounds like crap it's just because of the audio quality. But I actually think the quality is pretty nice compared to my cam =P
Wow...and I thought Vinnie Vincent's solo playing was annoying. Wha Happened to these guys? That was almost unlistenable. Maybe it is because he didn't have his Body Glove yellow spandex suit on...not that he could fit into it.
This could be the lamest crowd in rock history. Front row lawn chairs....what the fvck?!?!

If the crowd had better energy, the band would be feeding of that. That crowd ought to be ashamed of itself!

Man they really suck here, like they never rehearsed & just met for the first time in years and got up there trying to wing it from memory.

I feel sorry for them up there. They never sold out as a band in their music or politics.
This looks like a hell-gig, especially being on so early in the day when there's nobody there.
Very sloppy playing, but let's face it, the audience doesn't care and neither do they.
