Without looking, can anyone tell, by listening, how large this chorus is? What a magnificent "intimate" sound they elicit. This is one of the better "In paradisum" I've ever heard anywhere. The accompamiment is ethereal...Gorgeous.....

Cuando las grabaciones se hacen en estudio todo se regula,se "adoba" , se equaliza,mediante el uso de la tecnologia moderna. Cunado una grabacion se hace en vivo-como esta- es logico que algunas voces sobresalgan mas que otras (odo depende de donde se coloquen los microfonos) y ademas tratandose de una iglesia la reverberacion ayuda o no a causar distorsiones. Pero fuera de esos detalles tecnicos-muchas veces insalvables- la ejecucion es magnifica.

This music is sung so slowly and elegantly that it floats. These singers have such clarity and sweetness of tone framed by the conductor who allows them to 'breath' the lyrics with no discordant peaks and troughs.

We did the Faure-Requiem two years ago with our Philharmonic choir in Dortmund/Germany. I still remember how mooving and captivating it was to sing this wonderful music. This version of ,,In Paradisum" is one of the best versions I can remember, it makes me swoon. Thank you so much for sharing.

Uno de los mejores "In Paradisum" de Fauré que he escuchado en YouTube, tanto por el tempo como por la sonoridad (aunque hay una voz de soprano que sobresale un poco por encima de las demás..¬¬)por lo demás genial!!
