  • Excellent stuff, really. Great voice and quite a feat playing it with the barre instead of a capo. Well done, loved it a lot. Happy New Year!

    Zsolt

  • Awesome, you nailed it! Like your voice!

  • You are very soulful for one so young! Great job.

  • best cover of this song I've seen on youtube

  • come on look at his age if he is into townes you got to be impressed hell his pants aint haning to the ground he had to have some good influnces KUDDOS to you sir

  • Awesome vocals!

You really should try fingerpicking, though. It doesn't have to be all TVZ fancy like to sound cool when you have such a good voice.

  • this is pretty good, bruh

  • Great Cover! I really like your style :) 5*****

  • really nice...

  • great job

  • I was serious. Great tune. Well Done. Great to see a younger guy into Townes. Keeps the music alive!

  • Great job mate

    1 piece of constructive criticism..

    ..Don't hold back. Go nuts.

    good luck.

  • fuck dude, i gotta give it to ya..5 stars...awesome job. cheers.

  • in folk and bluegrass music we use a capo for stuff like that. you should try it, it will free up a finger to add some bass runs with. good job on the performance

  • You got a hell of a voice, kid. Try learning this song in it's original fingerpicking style (a capo would help so that you don't have to hold that C#m). You've got the tone just right.

  • Right on. This is great but use that capo to run the bass lines and pick it right.

  • that's great. well done.

  • Good job kid.

  • Great version of this song! Thanks. Keep up the good work.

  • i agree with ricky...i too am a huge townes fan and i enjoyed listening to your cover of the song

  • Killa, i felt it, keep singing and picking son

  • don't listen to the moron losers, you've got talent. I'm a huge townes fan, and you did it well.

  • Oh yea..and the videos on your page are much more entertaining...not

  • That comment was for Martyoner. Sent before I completed my thought. Give this guy some credit! Nice job randomluke.

  • I don't try to be good, just making fun of people like you.

  • great stuff

  • Mate you've made my day - I love your version of this heartbeaker. Your voice is just superb! Thanks so much from little me here in England. PS Do some Neil Young! Thanks, Dan

  • great cover dude! you should get a capo for the 4th fret like Townes did. You have an awesome voice, it really sounds like you mean it. Also check out my fingerpicking tabs for the song over at Ultimate Guitar, it's pretty basic but a whole lot of fun to play.

  • Pretty good indeed! Your voice is spot on IMHO, but the guitar is a bit too high pitched and paced. Keep it up man, few people can make Townes any justice, you just did!

  • it's in the original key of the song, but this was made before i could fingerpick that good so i just strummed it.

i really appreciate it, you made my day.

  • Nice cover of a cool song by the late great Van Zandt. Please give some of my covers a listen. I'd like to hear you cover a song of mine posted on the tube called "Old Charlie Wilson". Thanks for sharing!

  • i will definitely consider convering it if i get the time.

    thanks. :)

  • Pretty impressive, keep playing.

  • nice cover.. I hate covers usuallym but you do it justice. Nice work. A+

  • good voice. Nice cover.

  • I like that you can play it barred, i can play the song decently, but i've never done it without a capo. Have you tried fingerpicking it? Some people don't really seem to like finger-picking anything, but this is a pretty good song to build some pick hand dexterity with..anyways.. good job ^_^

  • you dont need to play it barred when you have a capo...

  • lol makes it look harder

  • Hey man how'd a young cat like you come across an old obscure tune like this? Nice cover

  • One of my favorites from Townes. You play it quite nice.

  • dude - way nice...nice to see young kids playing this "old school" music...keep playing...you've got potential.

  • Nice. And thank you for teach me the accords in the guitar. But I don't understand why you don't use the capo (or bridge) in the five, keeping free one finger. Saludos from Madrid

  • i couldnt find my capo before i made the video, but if you can hold the barre you don't really need it.

  • Good job man and excellent vocals

  • Are you wearin' your pj's??? LOL

  • Really well done. One of Townes' greatest songs.

  • Awesome cover, keep up the good work!

  • nice job, man. i appreciate your modesty, but you do a great version of this tune. it is just great to see (presumably) young kids listening to and learning old songs, rather than just the modern pop shit.

  • thanks. i'm actually fifteen. :) if you want to hear my original music, let me know, i'll give you the url.

  • Good job... you have the voice for this song.

  • thanks. :)
