Hilary is a very cool musician regardless of who she's playing with and what they are playing. I just wish the piece sounded less like the studio-recorded version, because the video makes it seem like it was way more electric and exciting (After all it is an electric violin).

Ms. Hahn likes to enjoy herself and try new things. She's also publicizing herself, and probably attracting young people to classical music. She's unconventional? That's fine: she's a very good violinist who happens to be intelligent, attractive, and have good marketing skills. She's not breaking out of the mold, she's creating a new mold. More power to you, Hilary!

Hilary is first and foremost a top rated, technically brilliant classical musician. Vanessa Mae seems like a showgirl with a big budget and nowhere near as much talent. Ms Hahn is allowed to break out of the mould sometimes, and classical music needs the kind of personality and verve that Hilary brings to maintain popularity as the 21st century develops. Also, anyone that would deny someone the right to express themselves differently obviously doesn't understand what music is primarily about -

The video's out of sync, she's not using an electric violin, there's no way to "hide" the sound with an acoustic violin.

That is an electric violin, it's a fender fv-3, i also have that violin so i know that they sound like that. I think that expensive zetas sounds like synths. Fender is much better!

i would be willing to bet that she just has a pick up on an acoustic violin. the sound is very different from an actual electric violin. and still different from an acoustic that is not picking up a microphone.

Yes she is. How long have you been on the internet? Some programs lag the video from the sound or vice versa. You can tell VERY clearly, no only from watching, but from knowing her sound, that she is playing. She is featured on this band's album playing this track.

Loved the "rock-stance". It's nice to see her with her hair down. Unfortunately, they left out the part when she was playing the violin behind her head before setting it on fire. That was CRAZY!
