When Vito Bratta hit the scene in the late 80's I thought to myself.......wow, we might have a serious challenger to the great Eddie Van Halen........and to this day I think some of Vito's solos were on par with Ed's masterpieces........but then he just turned his back on music and now rots away in his mother's basement. Why did he become so weird and depressed ??
@Hunkola That's a damn good question! He said he injured his hand and can't play like that anymore. But, I bet he could still kick some ass if he wanted to. I wish he would come back, on any level, anywhere, someday, somehow. He's one of the greatest of all time, and to deny the world that gift is just wrong!
What makes you think he is just rotting away. Vito was not stupid like most of the crowd was back then. He saved all his income. Invested it in a company now he lives comfortably lacks for nothing. Vito did not just up and turn his back and walk away. He tried several times to work something out with the record company. they turned their backs on him. They were to busy looking for the Kurt Cobanes. And that is not a jab at Kurt. Just that what happen to Vito. Just got sick of it

Shit, with today's social media he could still compose new music and put it out there for people to enjoy. Who fuckin' needs a record label these days --- just post it on YT or Facebook and many people will hear it. Vito just seems like a big QUITTER.

The tape on Tramps mouth should have stayed there at 4:47......maybe Vito would be around with them today. When a band member gets out of control....the band is done. It's about the band...the BAND!! Sorry Vito....I can relate. Hope your are doing well.
about Vito and Mike... I really don't know if they are reading this, but if there is someone who know any of both PLEASE tell them that they're loosing lots and lots of money. Do u remember how was bon jovi's life without richie and the band? he ended doing background voices to Cinderella. (have u ever heard that band???) and richie.. sigh... no comments. but they took the decision to re-join to record on studio again and... BINGO!! Vito Mike... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let us enjoy u art again.

Pretty awesome to hear the demo versions of songs. Kind of the only way to hear "new" stuff from Vito....even though it's old stuff. :-)
