@privettricker hello from france ! very very good job ! guitars were made for playing with and having fun. can't you imagine, you and other guys gave me the taste to play the guitar at fifty years old ! many thanks for your great help and your good job.
Amazing how something that sounds so complicated is really quite simple—reminds me of open tuning rhythm patterns. Pure Page trickery and skullduggery. Thanks for the cover.
sorry if i'ts been asked before, but is that an Epiphone EJ200? if it is...do you like it? how's the action? how's it sound (sounds good here but...you know), where'd you pick it up?
I agree with MagicMaui1. It is a very subtle difference but it adds a lot. Also, when Robert Plant sings, "Yes I brought you..." and you play the C to D (I believe the only time in the song where it is done) I usually play a open C chord and then take the same open C shape and play it as a D letting the other strings ring out. Again, another subtle difference but I think that is what Page is doing.
I hope that I am not coming across as overly critical, you nailed it! Also, Nice guitar.
@MagicMaui1 I'll have to listen to that section more closely. I've never heard the bend on that bass G note. I was thinking he was doing it more like the UnLedded version, which I suppose is a lazier way to play it.
ive already watched it about 30 times & i still haven't got it... but getting much closer. THANKS!

What is the tuning?
80sbuttrock 1 year ago
@80sbuttrock Standard tuning, though it may be tuned down a little, I don't recall. Just tune your A string to the intro.

When you play the part before the banjo starts, i just keep the A chord and bend the G note at the same time, just play straight on...
