I'm glad there's Lao people like you, don't forget how to cook the authentic food. I need to learn how to make some good pah dak lol
BTW which rice flour do you use? Red Or Blue, red is glutinous, blue i think is non glutinous. I tried a few times but i havent mastered it yet. What is wrong if my noodles break into small pieces? thanks keep up the good work, If i ever have time and a buddy will help me film, I will post some recipes.
@TRILLALAOS Thank you! It's the red (jasmine rice flour) NOT the green one. I now, make sure you get the right one or else you'll end up with a hot mess. If your noodles break into small pieces, it means your water is not hot enough..it should be boiling...I know this because it's happened to me before. Another reason is that you don't have enough tapioca flour, which is also important.
wow thats a fresh made noodle piece! good for watcher to see how fresh made is like. usually if i lazy i pick up a premade noodle piece at the store. u got good english and i see a white man at the end... is that you husband?
@MrDelightfulPink Thank you! It's really a labor of love..I enjoy making them and more importantly, my friends and family enjoy eating them. There is nothing like homemade. And nope, that's not a white man...a lao man..my hubby.
I moved away from my grandma because she got sick and couldn't take care of me anymore, so now I live with, you know, khon kao. I miss her and her cooking a lot, especially her kha pheak. Seeing this makes me watching to try it, like my little slice of home (: Thanks a lot!
