  • coi mi prami lojban

  • woooh, jesus has returned XD

    just kidding^^

    love lojban though

  • lojban is strange

  • Why "tavla bau la lojban" and not "tavla fo la lojban"?

I'm slowly learning how to speak lojban by reading through the reference grammar... .ui ba pu'o mi tavla fo la lojban

  • @Volatile314 After a while you tend to get used to using the BAI words like {bau} applied to any bridi, so you don't make an exception for tavla unless you need it (e.g. {dansu je tavla be fo la lojban} vs {dansu je tavla bau la lojban} are different).

  • @ChristopherDone You can use BAI in that situation too: {dansu je tavla be bau la lojban}.

  • Just started learning this delightful language. This is the first time I've heard it spoken and was chuffed to bits to have understood it without needing to look anything up.

So thank you kindly sir for a petty win :)

  • I can't understand Lojban.

  • to .oi-sai .o'o-nai loi mi za'e sitle'u pu se vimcu toi

  • Do you desire the event of one-speaks-with-me-in-Lojban? or Do you want to speak with me in Lojban? — the second place of tavla is the other party in the conversation.

Abstractions are not confusing: they are a fundamental part of the language, and we use them all the time. That's like saying that English gerunds are confusing, and we should replace them wherever possible :þ

.e'u xu mi tavla bau la .lojban. means something like I suggest: do I speak in Lojban? which is odd.

  • I believe it says: (The gist of it, I think)

Hello, you. Is it true that you desire the event that I speak lojban?

    Or, more english like:

    Hello. Should I speak lojban?

It might be easier, however, to rephrase it without the confusing vertical descriptors and abstractions by saying:

coi .i .e'u xu mi tavla bau la lojban

Where e'u is an attitudinal meaning suggestion.

  • it would be nice to have english sub titles or some thing please

  • u'i ba go'i a'o
