  • not sliding

  • No break lights, just saying...

  • Wasnt sliding.

  • The speed the tire was rotating makes it look like it is not spinning. The snow being thrown up is because it is deep and he is driving through it. Just a firetruck going to a call on snowy roads.

  • @ProudVolunteer19 you clearly see him lock up the wheels you gotta look close

  • weeeeeeeeeeeee!

  • Not sliding. You'll never make it as a big league umpire. Bad call.

  • Lesson 1 : never call 911 during winter ! Unless you want a fire truck in the middle of your burning house

  • you can tell he is trying to stop by hearing the jake brake also

  • @bfdengine2 that wasnt the jake brake. just him letting off the gas and the turbo spooling down.

  • Holy shit! hahah he was sliding! Nice catch and that would of sucked if they would of rammed that car!

  • he was slidding he honked the horn alot more to warn people too

  • that was not a slide or skid

  • Fucking idiots. Oh traffic has a green light and there's a fire truck coming with lights on, I think I'll cross slowly on this slippery terrain NOW.

  • nhaaa he wasnt sliding it was the tires throwing the snow in the air. and if it was bad then they would have thrown chains down

  • Yeahhhh. not sliding haha

  • And he was blowing his horn because the light was red....

  • lol

  • The driver of the engine was NOT sliding on the snow or ice. Pay close attention to the rear of that unit and you will notice that the brake lights are lighting up. The emergency LED are but no tail lights. Last time i check if a driver hit the brakes on a emergency vehicle then the tail lights should light up or it wouldnt pass the D.O.T. inspection.

  • yeah well everone can say he did the right thing by hitting his horn what if people or a car was the intersection and they hit them? huh? huh? thats right the drive of the truck sould and needs to SLOW down before he or she kills some on

  • He wasn't sliding...it just appears that way. It would have been much more noticeable had he actually locked up his breaks...you would have heard it happening.

  • @ProudVolunteer19 at 0:08 you can see snow being flung up from the tire skidding.

  • @trainlova12 actually its called roost. the tires were throwing the snow out words just like tires do in the rain. if he was sliding the snow would of been pushing and budging up against the front of the wheel.

  • @ProudVolunteer19 You are right, he was not sliding

  • I do not think he was sliding.

  • the driver prob shit his pants

  • Can u say holy shit and wee at the dame time lol

  • back at the house... Chaffuer: hey chief our rig slid." chief: " the rig down there or engine 15?"

  • that was engine 15 fort pitt.. why don't you put that in your title? engine 15 fdny sliding.

  • not to bust your bubble but sure looked to me like the illusion of being still at the speed it was going...almost made it look like they were slightly spinning backwards..im sure you all know what i mean?? now being in snow would even appear in person to be sliding...if indeed the brakes where applied and locked then the truck would have fish tailed even slightly...the driver would know better than to apply at that moment

  • AWESOME lol he must have shit on his pants lol

  • Good thing those pedestrians got out of the way.

  • Damn fine driving by the Chaueffer/Engineer Operator. Keeps the vehicle in a controlled direction...and sounds the collision alarm ;-P. Nothing scarier than being in the back of a Fire engine when it goes into a skid on a slick surface. As an EO my hat comes off for this guy, cause if that had been me...i'd have probably wound up laying the truck on its side.

  • Thats an "OH SHIT" moment. i love how he taps "mayday" out on the horns

  • you now its bad when the engineer yells hang on to ur ass boys it could be a wild ride.... ha ive heard that one a few times...o good ol times

  • He was definitely sliding that was why he was hitting the horn rapidly damn nice video!

  • @Bruticus713 ya haha thanks

  • @Bruticus713 he was hitting the horn rapidly because of the red light upfront. if you notice he was slowed down a lot before the red light.

  • move out the way because i aint stopping, literally!

  • oh sh@$

  • #LOL

  • Lol I would blast tha horn if I was skidding

  • Haha, you know that firefighter muttered something under his breath when he realized he isn't stopping any time soon.

  • @TWBaltz hahaha i no!

  • blasting the airhorn and siren to warn ppl TO GET OUT A THE WAY Be cuz the FDNY Truck had no brakes it wazz slidiN

  • Was it just synchronization with video refresh rate?

(Same effect which can make a wheel appear to be tunring in the opposite direction.)

  • @robertgift no i watched it with my own eyes. the wheels were sliding

  • @trainlova12 That's why he went Crazy with the Air Horn at the end!

  • that would be cool as hell until you hit something

  • hahah the boys from 15 probably had a very intresting story for tower 18 when they were back in quarters.

  • Hahah this hilarious. nothing a little air horn can't fix

  • @Doctors2Advocate HAHA SO TRUE!

  • @Doctors2Advocate lol he cant stop so he slams on his air horn

  • he realized that he was sliding and it the light ahead was red so he went crazy with the air horn haha nice vid

  • hahaha yaaa! i no!

  • @badassmark24 well it was good cuz u may never know what will happen at the intersections

  • dude this is sweet and cool dam nice video

  • HAHAHA thanks dude

  • wow ..ughh thats bad

  • Look, a sliding firetruck
