  • only sad thing is the best thing is to proberly put the animals down sadly as there is not enough homes and iv seen horse nearly dide from depression in cages waiting for homes

  • looks like a factory farm

  • i think i have cried 5 times from watching this

this is not what god put us on the earth for!!!

i am greatful for you amazing ppls saveing these animals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • everytime bella hears puppy mills she gets s osad i think she remembers when she was there

  • how greed looks like, disgusting, i am ashamed, to be a person.

  • @lynneviolet.... Yeah throw the evil people in the deep hole cave!!!

  • These dogs look horrible. Keep up the goo work!

  • Thank you Humane Society! I'm hugging my dog like crazy right now who came from a puppy mill. Awww this is so sad

  • You people that save theese animals are such awsome , nice , kind and brave people and i admire you :) When i grow up i wanna be just like you people that save theese animals :)

  • The Puppy Mills aren't legal. They are illegal. Actually, some places they are LEGAL and some are illegal. It's weird. Im glad the Hsus is helping these puppies not only puppies All kinds of animals. I live in Canada and im still proud of the Hsus.

  • Im crying a river now WE HAVE TO SAVE TORTURED, NEGLECTED, AND STARVED ANIMALS! How can people do this?

  • Live in Cazenovia, this place wasn't even in town, it was like 5-10 miles out in the boonies, just addressed in Caz... I've seen her car that had the Thyme & Sage Ranch logo on the side, and her sight, always wondered what the place was like...

  • I commit to never buy a purposely bred puppy or dog. I never have and never will. All my dogs have been strays off the street. Just as good, or better, than any full blooded dog costing money.

  • This is what happens when the four legged are bred for profit. The focus on money leads to a complete compromise on their welfare. Until the day comes that the living are not for sale, this will keep happening.

  • It doesn't just compromise the welfare of the animal, but the whole breed. Not to mention the sucker who ends up with the puppies. Like those people out there who are ruining the Pit Bull reputation. You have the good breeders who breed for health and temperment.

Then you have those who breed because it makes them look good, for specific colors or looks, or just to make a easy buck.

    To me it's all sickening.

  • I grew up right in that area for part of my childhood . There are alot of good people around that area its sad too see people treating animals so awfull what a bunch of jerks

  • wow, just wow, i cant believe stuff like this is happening, i did a report on animal abuse last month for school and i saw and read some pretty hard things.

there are some sick people out there who will do horrible things to innocent animals and they need to be stopped.

more people need to know about this.

  • we actually just adopted a puppy from here a few months ago. It was very strange to us that she had the dogs we wanted to see ready and wouldnt let us see any others. our puppy we adopted smelled terrible and was kept in a chicken coop, and layed in their own poop. His fur was tangled and he looked starving. My family and I are glad we got him when we did!!! We took him to the vet right away and we are so glad this lady got caught! TERRIBLE CONDITIONS FOR ANY ANIMAL!

  • wait did you buy him you mean from this actual farm place? like before it was busted. because it is good that your puppy is now safe, but at the same time you were supporting this cruelty. when a person buys a puppy from here, they are just causing more litters and more animals to go through cruelty. maybe you didn't know about this, but you should never buy a pup from one of these places or pet stores, even if u think you are helping the pup cause u are really causing other animals to suffer

  • This was not a puppy mill, it was a "rescue shelter" for all types of animals. It was run by one lady named Jennifer Petkus. She had her own website donated by the local Tech College to request money for the animals. She obviously did not use the money for the animals. If you would like a copy of the report contact me, it includes starvation of the animals and hiding their bodies under hay bales. Also she would not allow the investigator to euthanise a ram with a broken leg that was near death.

  • :[!

Better for them to be in cages now than abused even more. . .

  • OMG!!! I'm bawling my eyes out right now.. Those poor poor animals.. I can't believe someone would do this to them!?!?!?! I

  • Thanks once again, HSUS, for your good work. I'm glad you're there to help animals when they need it, and to expose disgraceful places like this.

What we need is a national ban on the number of animals one breeder can have at a time. That will end puppy mills, and good riddance.

    PUPPIES AREN'T PRODUCTS.

    ADOPT, SPAY/NEUTER

  • Living in Wisconsin and being an avid watcher of many animal welfare organizations I watched this story unfold.

However, for those of you ranting about puppy mills, this specific rescue was not a puppy mill. It was a "rescue organization". And the information you gave on puppy mills I fully agree with, but everyone needs to get together and work against ANYONE mistreating animals, even if it's a "rescue group".

  • thanks hsus

  • I just wish we could kill all these people that are doing this to the animals put them in a kennell for a few years

  • I know, right? It's so messed up that they can commit such atrocities and be let out of jail in a few months/years.

  • To a puppy mill, it is nothing more than a cash crop. These animals are bred just like pigs and chickens. And purebreds are purebreds regardless of where they come from: They are all products of incest and usually they have very serious genetic disorders and physical condition predispositions due to dominant and recessive genes. But the pet stores don't care. YOU PAID! And you are going to be patronizing vets very dearly.

  • What is so evil are the people who patronize pet stores. That's why puppy mills keep on breeding them because it's a cash crop. People get away with what they are allowed to get away with and there are no laws that require licensure to breed animals.

  • i would adopt any of them! i'm planning on to have a dog and cat nursery in my house, along with an adoption center, they must fill out a form, my own, to make sure they are nice, a stray center, who I'm trying to keep together in adoption, a vet for all animals, a zoo vet,... that's my goal.

  • omg..i cant stand people like this that have all those animals and no respect for them and only want the money, makes me sick.

Good work HSUS! keep it up. Ban puppie mills like this..and the USDA needs to make stiffer restrictions on these places .

plz keep us updated on the animals.

  • omg thats so cruel, poor animals

  • die armen hunde

  • hsus thank you for spreading the truth to people about stuff that you may thnk is ok like eating meat , you show that it is wrong to and showing how its good to adopt and donate to animals Thank you very much

  • How is this allowed to continue? Bless you people for going in and saving those animals from this Hell. I don't understand how these places are legal. Everyone that can commit to an animal for life needs to rescue and adopt as many as they are allowed.

The AKC really should be ashamed of themselves, and be put out of business. Puppy mills comprise 80% of the AKC's business. It registered 917,247 puppies in 2003 at the cost of approximately $25.00 per puppy. The AKC is evil. It needs to stop.

  • It is legal. 100% legal. There are NO laws whatsoever that requires licensure to breed animals. These dogs are bred like chickens and pigs as a cash crop. Not just puppy mills but COUNTLESS backyard breeders. Look in the paper. I see tons of them sold every day, in every city across America.

  • great work hsus!

buyers should always ask to come to the breeders house, and veiw the parents, as no puppy mill owner will let youy do both.

hsus, you should do a vid on how to tell a true breeder from a puppy mill. if people stop buying from them, it makes their job harder.

  • animals have no souls SO WHAt?

  • And you would know about this, would you? Heartless git.
