So many muscle cars got sold, junked or put away by their owners after the gas shortages of '74 and '79. The elimination of leaded premium gas made it a hassle to keep dumping octane booster and lead additives in the gas tank of daily drivers, not to mention yearly emission certifications. Probably a lot more mothballed '60's and '70's muscle out there waiting to be found. The new owner's got a gem.

A friend owned a wrecking yard and did a search of other yards trying to find a SD 455 engine for me but none were to be had, a very special engine.
interiors pretty much mint.....along with the rest of the car. you have alot of money sitting in your barn haha. and whats under the tarp beside the trans am?

Makes me want to look inside every barn in America.

a friend of mine had a SD in High School... i think it was a 74 but might have been a 73.. It was wild back then when you think about it. 16-18 year old kids were driving Dodge Challenger T/A s, 69 Z-28s, SD Trans Ams, L89 vetttes... there had probably been a hemi or 2 sitting in those parking lots before too.
That is my car and I want it back!! I got drunk and could not drive anymore so I parked it in that very barn. I hitch-hiked back home and went to sleep.
