Hey i downloaded everything i need and installed it. When i go in audacity prefences to set my mp3 thing it says theres no file? I installed the encoder correctly too so i have no clue whats goin on. please help!

something weird has happened. Now suddenly when I export as Mp3, it leaves this error message: Audacity does not export Mp3 files directly, but instead uses LAME, and MP3 exporting library available separately.

My question is, why after I've followed your instructions and it worked, has it stopped working? Is that normal? Does this LAME library thing just up and shut down typically???

one problem I just noticed. When I drag an mp3 file or wave file into Audacity, nothing happens. Whats wrong? Its suppose to show you the music waves for the song and you can then record over the instrumental. But seems you cannot drag and drop a file into audacity on here. Help.

Dave, I installed audacity to my mac along with lame library via your instructions here. I installed the universal binary as the other version of audacity wasnt working for some reason. anyway, I'm struggling trying to figure out how to export a song from audacity to garageband. I tried doing it my saving it as an mp3 but garageband isnt allowing me to open any file i save from audacity, even with lame installed, can you help? Thanks!

Hi when I go into preferences to fine the file format I do not have the options that are shown in this video, I do not see the top navigation, audio, quality etc, I get a side bar that says, device, playback etc. Can you direct me to where I might see the above.
