A poser to me is someone who would stop skating if they knew that they would never be pro or get sponsored. Because if you just skate to become famous or some bullshit then that's fucking pathetic. And even if you're good that doesn't make you a skater. It might make you "a person who can do tricks on a skateboard" but not a skater

From what i keep hearing apparently people think of posers as those who just suck. Personally though i have to disagree. To me if you just love to skate whether you suck or not you're part of the skate society. Even those that don't necessarily skate but support skaters every step of the way are part of it. Like me for example, I skate but I suck and most of the time when i'm out i'm mainly just filming

@thatconnallykid A skater who sucks wouldn't be a poser. Imo a poser is one who skates just to impress people and look "cool" in front of their friends and in front of the girls. Real skaters skate because they love it not to impress anyone. Thats why I love skateboarding because it's fun and don't care what anyone thinks of it. For some reason I usually get called a punk because I skateboard. I hate stereotypes.

im not good at skateboarding and ive never really been good BUT im not a poser. i love skateboarding its been my life since the first time i picked up a skateboard and it will be my life till the day i die, or just cant physically stand on a moving skateboard anymore xD lmfao.in my opinion however, i think a poser is someone that acts like they skate dress like they skate talk like they skate, BUT dont actually skate. in reality i think anyone who loves to skate good or bad is a skateboarder :D
