Pioneers are the best, Although they are pricy! i sugest you buy some Denons, there good too and fit on anyones budget... you can buy a pakage online with mixer for around 800

The only thing i think you can improve on is an elongated mix between individual tracks (but its a "Tenminmix" so i understand) and a the minor thing of making sure the channels are of equal volume,some tracks you were bringing in overpowered the main track because of its volume instead of complimenting it, but great mix none the less!

The cdjs are not connected to the pc. They are connected to the mixer as normal and the master audio out from the mixer is connected to the pc with an external usb soundcard to record the set, the pc just acts as a recording device to get better audio than from my camera's built in mic!

The number of tracks depends on the length and bitrate of your mp3s. To create an mp3 disc just record a data disc rather than audio disc. I usually use standard audio cds because sometimes with the mp3 discs it takes too long to search/scan through a track when cueing

It is for recording the audio and shows whats being recorded from the mixer so the levels don't clip.

i have the same mixer as you... does the laptop plug into the djx700 or the cdj 800 mk2?, from your laptop you can see like waves of frequency and beats... does this help you when you are mixing

I plug the booth output of the djx into the laptop with an external sound card for better sound. The beats you see are whats being recorded, same as what you would see on the master level leds so no that won't help with mixing

Why? I used vinyl for 5 years before I started using cd's and for beatmixing the results are the same. The cdjs are just as good as vinyl unless you are scratching :)
