@RawrKaylaSaur I played it for years back when it was kind of popular, going back recently it was sad to see it so dead :/ Btw, what proffession did you play as and what side? I mostly played as an omni-tek martial artist. I have so many good memories from AO...

@YomaruSan2 Yeah, it's pretty sad. It's a really good game, don't see why everyone left. I was a omni-tek fixer C: Same. I play world of warcraft now, which is too simple. I liked being able to put my skill points where i wanted them and actually having to think about what i was doing rather then just pressing buttons like on WoW.

@RawrKaylaSaur I know what you mean, MMO's these days are so dumbed down and generic. They don't even come close to the kind of complexity and planning of AO's twinking system. Man I remember I once got Grid Armor Mk1 on a Lv24 Atrox Fixer, that was so rewarding. I signed up for The Secret World beta, hopefully it will be even a little bit as great as AO used to be. If not, I might give Guild Wars 2 a shot :3

main isue is it costs more than any other mmo ffs.Played back in 2005 was kinda fun.

Yeah after years of working on it they just said "Screw it!" and decided to use what they already had in Conan. All that wait for nothing and now even more waiting! By this point I wish they'd just make AO 2 already...

@YomaruSan2 Well, it may well be worth the wait as the AoC engine is awesome in every way today. They got rid of by far the most bugs since AoC was released. I mean, have you tried enabling every possible graphics setting in AoC with DX10 and 1920x1200 reolution as well? It's unbelievable beautiful and it runs completely smooth... on my computer at least :-)

well that has been AO's problem really... it does stand up to other MMORPGs currently... but not on a graphics standard(although honestly, compared to other games... AO is far better in quality and detail).

But as we can see, Age of Conan beats out every other in graphics AND detail... all AO needs is the graphics to math it's unbeatable detail :)

Then again, I played since the 2D alpha stages, I've moved on, lol. But I still find it a fascinating and worthwhile MMO.

the upcoming one is better, hopefully much better, all we see in this video is better shadows, grass, sky & water :)
