Guthix - the first god at all - had two sons. Zamorak and Saradomin. They grew up as "normal" humans, until Saradomin found out, who he was, and that he had a bro.
Saradomin became a great magician and Zamorak - who didn't knew who he was - was his apprentice. When Zamorak found out, who he was, he became VERY angry - and killed saradomin. that's why everybody thinks, that he's evil =(

Zamorak - Obvious Forces of Evil
Guthix - God of balance (Even though when he supposedly gave balance by banishing Zamorak, he DIDN'T restore Zaros' kingdom)
My question is-what alignment is Zaros? He can't be "Evil" because he allowed many civilizations to flourish under his rule. But I don't see him as a wannabe "goodie" like Saradomin. Any input please?

Don't ya think some of runescape's soundtracks could be more like songs, and not like some computer generated tones? Oh, and yes, during the betrayal of Zaros, Zamorak fought with Zaros, but couldn't defeat him, even after stabbing him with the staff of Armadyl. Then Zamorak tripped, and impaled himself with Zaros, causing some powers to "spill" into him, hence why Zamorak is now a god. And yes, some gods did form a shaky alliance to stop Zaros. Which is why I hate Zamorak AND Saradomin equally.
Zaros was the most powerful god, however the gods teamed up to take him out. Zaros is returning, and lets not forget who the ancient magicks and curses are alligned with! Can't wait for his return!

Zaros is history though, and i think he will be slain by Armadyl or Zamorak, if not Guthix himself, after his rise again. ah yes, and Zamorak is simply a powerful Mahjarrat, not a god, and i think we will see him and saradomin fall.

@SkullOuu I wouldn't say he won the Wars, rather he ended them with the Edicts. Still, I respect both Zaros and Guthix. Zaros doesn't seem to be like a good or evil god, not does he fall into order or chaos. To me, he represents power, pure and simple. I respect Guthix, as well, because it's like Manson said: "The weak ones are there to justify the strong."
If I had to choose, though... Zaros. Definitely.

@masterdoonthe3rd That is a load of crap, cuz i have read that same guide on RuneScape.Wikia.com many times, looking for any clues that might suggest his intentions, or how a stupid ass mortal like Zamorak defeat an UBER powerful god. Nowhere in there does it state he is evil. Saradomin and Zamorak say he is Pure Evil because they are his enemies. His mahjarrat make him good. Who would u rather listen to? A liar and a chicken sht false god, or his Mahjarrat?

Alright, here's how things are:
Guthix was asleep, that's right.
But Guthix likes Zaros better than Zamorak because Zamorak disbalanced shit, you know?
Also Guthix is probably not going to awake when Zaros comes back because Zaros was not bound to his edicts.
