  • Angus, you fukin wildman!! nuff said!!

  • Methinks the vocals are the only live part of this performance. Where's Angus' guitar cord? Why else is the crowd so lame?

  • @itsglen9646 Angus' guitar cord? Wireless, my man, wireless.

  • @joC787 few guitarists used them in 1978. They were still skeptical

  • This audience is a bunch of losers.

  • The people in this auduence don't know whether to shit or go blind. Pretty funny!

  • AC/DC, Aerosmith, & The Nuge? Goddamn, it's Hard Rock Heaven

  • i find it really funny that steve tyler twice said that AC/DC went on the road with them, like it was the biggest thing in the world that you toured with Aerosmith, i like aerosmith but AC/DC is 100x better than them

  • Best live performance by AC/DC or any other band of all time!

  • Where's Angus' cord? Everyone else is plugged in. I've seen him convulse around with an amp on his back before, but that's a schoolbag on his back, not an amp.

Also, I had no idea that Bon could sing AND chew gum at the same time. Impressive!!!!

  • No homo whatsoever, but I cant help but to notice how ass-tight Bons ass is in his ass tight jeans. xD

  • 5 people need a rectal crainiotomy.

  • locked in and cranking!

this starts great and unwinds with ruthless rock smarts - that crowd mustve thought they were watching the beatles in hamburg

  • Angus is energetic as always; Bon here is very charismatic!

  • AC/DC rocks - great tune and totally awesome video- wow, doesn't get any better--

  • non stop headbangin' angus !!!

  • Without any doubt whatsoever, taken from their best album Powerage, Sin City has gotta be their best song ever, it just rocks so much & only Bon can sing it, Brians good but cant pull it off as good. Play it loud, its fuckin brilliant.

  • Rich man, poor man, beggar man, thief

Ain't got a hope in hell, that's my belief

  • @hatmap Don't you mean right wing, conservative, draft dodging, pedophile, Ted Nugent???

  • @PZPhart No, actually I think he means kick-ass rockstar Ted Nugent.

  • This crowd didn't know what to do - it was before they discovered the mosh pit and stage dives.

  • AC/DC with BON the best rock group of all time

  • Comment removed

  • looks like most people in the crowd are like, WTF?!!

  • Hey, it's Steve Tyler with the future right-wing conservative American patriot Ted Nugent!

  • @hatmap u forgot "racist scumbag"

  • @hatmap You know Joe Perry is also staunchly conservative, right?

  • @inflames2121 not to mention alice cooper is a born again christian

  • Bon Scott is BADASS!

  • I think some of the people in the audience don't even realize they just got their asses rocked off.

  • my dad has seen where they had that!!!

  • I'd have liked to live in these times!!!! Awesone showww!!!!

  • tied my baby to the railroad tracks cannonball down the line....

  • tied my baby to the railroad track cannon ball down the line......

  • Hey Bon, what's that thing in your pocket?.... Oh

  • Check out the guy in the lower right at 1:04. He is sooo boring, like a zombie!

  • IMO, Powerage is still their best album cover to cover. And I happen to love that only us folks who really appreciate AC/DC ever talk about it. Let the wannabe's keep their shook me all night long and heatseeker, I'll continue to listen to Bon try to figure out what's next to the moon and request a bullet to bite on. Alright, enough talk, I have to spin this vinyl, as loud as I can. Thank you for the post.

  • @drlepper72 Im with you powerage was the first album i listend to and its one of their best albums but everyone who thinks they know everything about AC/DC only listen to their main tracks that everyones heard maybe 100 times already

  • @drlepper72 Spoken like a true 14 yr old doosh.

  • @drlepper72 What you said there just gave me a real authentic smile.... ;)

  • I saw this lineup in 1978 in Providence, they kicked ass. I cant remember who they opened for, but they kicked their ass. Man, this is when music was really rockin. Wheres my fuckin time machine?

  • 4 dislikes are sinners so burn in hell

  • angus walks so boss

  • the best song of powerage album!!!!!

  • Alrighty then everybody - this here is proof that it's all been done. All those new bands can pack it up and go home now.

  • I Need more VOLUME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • Love how people associate the AC/DC song with the film. They are both badass.

  • what a boring fucking crowd! i would be jumpin all around

  • @HouseHoldGuy1

You have to remember that was the 1970's, before the idea of 'mosh pits' or 'headbanging' even came about

  • @HHenkelmann ah... but there was headbanging. but they still could have been doing something like dancing. I saw an older video of AC/DC playing and people were at least moving around and shit

  • @HHenkelmann it seems as if onlyy the front row gets it

  • Greatest front man of all-time, no questions whatsoever.

  • @ConiferTreez Bon was great but have you seen Valient Thorr or Iggy Pop?

  • @itsglen9646 sure I have. Valient Thorr??? okay.............

Of course Iggy is up there with Bon, as are Jim Dandy & Ronnie Van Zandt.

  • whoa...........

  • Shit. I just got goosebumps!!

    Incredible performance!

  • i wish Bon had been my Dad

  • @sm0kindatg00d

I dont know, wouldn't it kinda suck? I mean yeah, hes bon , and all...but hed be away on tour alot..I wouldn't like that...

  • Boring audience, I would have been moshin like a motherfucker'

  • @StoneyMcJuicyBuds I remember watching this when it first aired - I was in high school, and thought the same thing: man what a boring audience - must have been the left-over audience from some disco show like American Bandstand. THis was around 1978 and was a well dressed disco audience for sure.

  • Thanks for the Great quality!

  • Angus has the head banging thing going on here. LOL

  • Angus ROCKED!

  • Damn if i actually got to see this performance live i think i would have lost my mind

  • ACϟDC is Hard Rock, but for me it's High Voltage Rock N' Roll!

  • weon son los mejores !

  • uttlerly original....whos original now?

  • You can see that Angus' solo is so taxing that he actually dies at 2:54 but just as his spirit begins to ascend into the heavens a grateful fan transfers some of his life force to Angus at 2:59 through his magic shaking finger. Angus is then revived and finishes the song

  • @ctomasbi

    hahahahaha! Resurected by RRRAAAWWWWWWWWKKKKK!!!

  • Does anyone mesmerize an audience better then Angus Young? The "little man up on stage" is a voltage of non-stop energy. High voltage!!

  • ac/dc ted nugent and steven tyler must of been some show

  • 'UCKIN 'OGS 'OLLOX the best

  • God why did you took Bon Scott????he was the best

  • Half the crowd is so stoned that they can't move ....

  • @mikedavis5671 And 4 of them lived long enough to learn how to use a Dislike button.

  • Most of the crowd didn't know what to fuck to think!

And jeez, I'd be embarrassed to be introduced by fucking Ted Nugent and Steven Tyler. Yuck!

  • @iceman85438543 I'd be honored to be introduced by Ted Nugent and Steven Tyler !!!!!!!!!!

  • 4:25 get ready for Bon Scott's primal scream...!

  • RIP Bon! Your singing and frontman work pre-Johnson era is equally as jammin, powerful and rocking as everything after your way too soon demise.

  • I saw AC DC in 1978. The tour they did with Aerosmith in Toledo, Ohio. AC DC blew Aerosmith right off the stage. Great concert!!!

  • If I didn't know any better...Bon Looks sober

  • Man if I was in that crowd I'd be going CRAZAAAAY! Crowd is all boring and crap!

  • Bad ass and that's all there is to say.

  • I love how the crowd has no clue and Bon sings while chewing gum.

  • this should have been a heads up about where music was heading! if you will notice there were about six people on the left who knew it was coming!

  • Angus Young=BAMF!!!!

  • it's still great every time!

  • Rockin'.

  • Let the Midnight Special shine a light on me...

  • AC/DC were a pure rock n roll band back then, now they are a commercial, screeching pile of shit.

  • Ohhh Angus,,,,

  • This night......the schoolboy was teacher!

  • Most definitely, Bon Scott has got to be one of the most unique singers in Rock n roll. I never tire of his voice, its an act unto itself. His replacement, well, I'd rather stick chards of glass in me eyes than hear that meatgrinder squawk

  • @reanime1 WHAT? I take it you haven't heard back in black, or house of the rising sun by geordie, and after that, comeback and tell me he cant sing

  • Lucky mu

  • were shocked,,

  • u could think the people were not very excited but i think they were kinda shocked by the aweosomeness of AC/DC, at the end you see they liked it because they clap and scream

  • I like watching this video just to see the stunned faces on the white bread audience.

  • I saw the tour that Steven Tyler alluded to. AC/DC blew Aerosmith off the stage easily.

  • Pay attention to 3:10 kids! Snakes and Ladders- Bon's deal with Satan for money and rock 'n roll fame. The Devil gave him power to climb the ladder of rock stardom and when Satan was finished using Bon to deceive his fans, he inspired him to kill himself with strong drink, effectively pulling the ground out from under Bon's feet and sending him hurling down the Snakes belly into hell's roaring inferno, trapped in torment for all of eternity.

Prophetic words by Bon Scott? You be the judge.

  • @eldeliveroso This song is about Las Vegas. Snakes and ladders (or chutes and ladders) is an ancient Indian board game that has become a worldwide classic and can be played in Vegas or online. I think what you might be looking for is the song "Highway To Hell"

  • @gklcinc No.. really!? it's about.....Las Vegas? Wow, that really clears things up.

Bon equated sin to a heavenly place of indulgence and excess. This is the devil's lie. Sin brings punishment and eternal death.

  • @eldeliveroso Hey no problem. Just here to help. C:

  • @eldeliveroso Hey shut the fuck up godboy. go fuck yourself with a crucifix. nobody here wants to hear one of your fictional stories about Jebus in the mythical land of heaven

  • @violentjett Ah ha ha ha, nice dis, what did you do just watch The Exorcist or was it The Grizzly Diaries?

It's gonna feel real "fictional" when you're BURNING IN THE EVERLASTING LAKE OF FIRE!!!!

    What a tool.

  • @eldeliveroso some retard writes a book and you believe it. if god is so great, kill yourself now so you dont have to wait to suck his cock.

  • @eldeliveroso hell ain't a bad place to be

  • @gungor1985 Yeah I know that whole album KICKS ASS, but that song is far from the truth.

  • acdc is rocknroll, punk, metal, pop.. 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s.. a universal rock standart

  • fuck sometimes i forget how good angus is..

  • Gotta love Angus.

  • Angus has definetly influenced all headbangers!!

  • TMS's audiences were always lame. Deader than door nails.

  • @MMMicropterus So.....? Did you watch the vid for the for the stunned audience or the song?

  • @melvinpilot. I agree, both singers are good. But, you have to give the edge to Bon. Everything Bon did was awesome. As far as Brian goes, he sang on Back in Black. As far as I'm concerned, is ac/dc's best. But, nothing he did after that compares to the stuff Bon did. Plus, Brian's voice has been shot for the last 15 years. Bon's voice was always amazing. I like both guys, but I have not really liked anything ac/dc has done since The Razor's Edge.

  • AC/DC's greatest song - and their greatest rendition of it ever!

  • @kozpetratos fuckin a!

  • AC/DC with Bon Scott was the greatest Rock n Roll Band there ever was and that will ever be.This video proves it.

  • Good old Ted is always quite hyper for someone who never did drugs or alcohol. He talks as fast as he picks ;-)

  • Those chicks in the front were like "I'm just gonna wait this out until Captain and Tenille come on".

  • Buncha' connected Hollywood snobs, too cool for the room ~ Just got their skulls ripped off and they don't know what the hell to do. Awesome. Bon Scott Forever!

  • @ACspainDC He's a fucking moron - pay no attention to him. The Clash? They're a slightly heavy version of the Bay City Rollers. Fucking ACDC is the real deal.

  • @beautifulsarah100 Haha,...the Bay City Rollers?!?! Omg,...S-A-T-U-R....D-A-Y....Night!! HaHaHa!!! They were the 70's version of Rebecca Black!!!

  • How fey and effete the Aerosmith boys are in comparison with ACADACCA, Because AC/DC are true rocka nd rollers. Bon was great though, do you see the way he was in his own orbit and could sense the history the way he dismisses Angus when he tries to mess about with his tie, love it.

Their best song too. Nice little bit of rocka nd roll history.

  • Most overrated band of all time. I can't feel any power just a bunch of soloing. If you want power listen to The Clash!

  • @DJDansound You sure as hell don't know music brother and as a matter of fact AC/DC with Bonny (not Brian Johnson) was the most UNDERRATED rock n roll band of all time. Just look at the crowd they didn't know what they just saw AC/DC just came in and butt fucked everybody and left. The funny thing is is that later on that night they realized how much they liked it!!!

  • they dont put the fat ones right up front for everyone to see...and thats if the tv producers even let them on the set.

  • Bon is the mould that all singers want to be cast from now, this guy just had it all. class.

  • Freakin' shut up about Bon vs Brian. They're both fucking awesome. Or haven't you heard Back in Black and You Shook Me All Night Long?

  • Bon Scott still rules!

  • you dont realy see any fat 70s kids?

  • @mrwhatsnexttothemoon yeah because they had all these bands to rock out to, too much time listening to music to eat

  • acdc with bon is one of the best rock acts ever, with brian johnson they sold out and declined.... Rip bon,..... rock on angus and malcolm, bon is so missed, "down payment blues" and the whole powerage album along with let there be rock are classics.....

  • EPIC!

  • The definitive AC/DC video clip.

  • 3 people aren't goin' in...

  • And I watched it LIVE!!!!well on NBC..but for a 4thgrader it was eye opening!

  • And this is why I had a blue jean vest in 79.

  • Cut off jean jacket!!!

  • One of the best Riffs in history of Hardrock.

  • ted nugent, acdc, and aerosmith.....?! holy shit! LOL

  • Yeah, the crowd is freaking stunned.

  • hehe i love angus young dying move in 2.55-03.10..sudden death? from nowhere

  • AC/DC rocks. This is such a rare clip. You don't see too many of these. I loved the intros as well. Steven Tyler and Ted Nugent..Now freakin cool is that.

  • AC/DC is my favorite band,in fact I named my oldest son Bon Scott

  • @64jerryb That is cool man. Good for you!

  • @64jerryb

    Is your son AC/DC?

  • The mighty AC/DC. Bon and the boys torn that crowd a brand new ass.

  • Kick my ass, still after all these years.

  • Awesome. And the audience has no clue whatsoever - hilarious.

  • Amazing. Every Friday night I had to beg my parents to let me stay up until 2 AM so I could watch The Midnight Special. Damn. If you weren't alive when this was all goin' down, you really missed something.

  • @SimoneLeEvil That is so funny. I love hearing that. I wish there were shows like this today. All the music stations have either reality shows on or just crap music.

  • Doesn't look like the crowd had a clue what hit them. I bet they all tell stories now how they were all there and how they rocked the house....Ha Ha

  • @dmacljn1 they're probably still stunned from seeing Stranglehold right before that. greatest. live. performance. of. all. time. /watch?v=E9UJT0dRXyM

  • @dmacljn1 LOL...I bet that crowd was just a tad on the medicated side if you know what I mean..I don't think AC/DC was well known when this clip was shown. I remember when they came to the US and they blew everyone away. Angus is still one of the greatest rock and roll guitarist ever.

  • white people can't rock.

  • ACDC went on to be bigger and better than aerosmith.................... bon is best

  • @spadge321 I saw AC/DC play with Aerosmith and Journey in Houston in 1978 and they blew them both away. Even though as openers, they weren't as loud, they were way better. Billy F Gibbons of ZZTOP said it best,"I will never play after AC/DC, NO way.....

  • If you think Bon Scott & Brian Johnson had almost identical voices, you need to take the cotton out of your ears. They sound nothing alike, aside from both being screamers rather than singers. Highway to Hell and Back In Black, hands down- 2 greatest (thank you Mutt Lange) rock n roll albums of all time. Bon or Brian? Fuck it, I love 'em both.

  • This was America's first taste of The Greatest Rock N' Roll band to come.

  • Angus did a Aussie snake skin on ya Ted

  • not quite HQ but... nice. Thanks!

  • fucking give it em lads,, cheeky yankee twats ,, this band can burn aerosmith's arse anyday man ,,,,

  • Fuckin OLD SCHOOL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Angus is a BEAST!

  • WAY ahead of their time

  • @skoal313 perfect for that time

  • strange how Bon Scott and Brian Johnson had almost identical vocals...

  • dont be silly ,, BON SCOTT had presence and the cunts a bin man who got lucky

  • Abso-freakin-lutely smokin'. What a killer song!
