I'm not an expert on snakes, but that didn't look especially safe to me either. I kept waiting for that thing to get loose and race under the pens or something. As poisonous as mambas are, that kind of looks like an accident waiting to happen.
@Kristyology Because people have no idea what the video will be like WITHOUT watching it.
The guys a clown. If I were him, I'd drag my ass to the shops, buy some cleaning products, and stop being a scruffy bastard. Dealing with a mamba in cesspit is asking for trouble. If he carries on the way he is, it won't be long before he mistakes a 6 month old hotdog for a snake.
I can honestly say that this video has some of the worst snake handling I've ever seen in my life. Shirtless, wearing bite resistant gloves, uggs, and using a toy trash pickup device from target is just a disaster waiting to happen. I keep black mambas too and if I went at one of mine dressed up like some sort of retarded warrior they would kill me outright. Do yourself and your snakes a favor and learn how to handle them or give them to someone who knows what they're doing.
I would hate to see your procedure for when the eye caps stick during shedding, and you have to remove them. I’m sure the snake would be better off with them stuck on, and going blind, than being restrained by you.. Or, ANY time the snake has to be medicated and treated, for that matter.. If you can’t handle the animal, you can’t handle the animal, and make it suffer for your own ego. And that, is very clearly what is happening here..
Tongs are for the inexperienced. You sir, have no business keeping venomous snakes, or animals in general. Too incompetent to use a hook..? Or, with a mamba, a shift box..?
These Snakes and ANY other venomous kinds should NEVER be allowed into private homes in the U.S. If one of those nasty things escapes..... OMG..... It can live in Florida or anywhere really in the south if it was to escape.....I'm sure one has escaped and is lurking somewhere... I hope you don't have a family and are exposing them to this INEVITABLE escape from those flimsy enclosures. Black Mamba is the MOST dangerous snake in the world! It wont back down & can bite ur face when ur standing up
its possible like in the state of florida your aloud to have that if your certified by the state cause there will be snake farm or reptile farm that will breed snakes like these and sell them to zoos to research for there venom and yes they will have anti venom but if there not certified by the city or state the state will take the snakes and if he was caught selling them with no permit he could possibly go to prison :)
I dont think its a mamba i think its a fake I think he has a olive python. If you dont believe me just google it. olive pythons look just like mambas. I think he has just local venemous i highly disbelieve he has a mamba.
@89stucka bro you are stupid as fuck that is a black mamba first of all pythons are no where near fast as the black mamba and if you think thats a python by looking at it your stupid as hell get some glasses
You're in Florida? I hope Fish and Wildlife don't catch wind of this video ... you are in violation of enclosure requirements for keeping venomous reptiles.
Dude ... can I say that you're not too intelligent? You are asking for a situation that you can't control. First ... a cage transfer of a mamba in a such a tight area is extremely dangerous. If it were to get loose, you'd play hell trying to catch it. Secondly, those gloves look like they are impeding your safety, not helping it. Thirdly, where is your hide box? ... which is the only safe way to remove a mamba from it's enclosure. Fourth ... a front sliding door? are you serious?
@augusti40 um if they have a permit cause i know in some states like florida theres alot of snake wranglers and farms like this guy there sometimes called in for snake problems and take the snake in custody yes they do have anti venom with them now if there just some daredevil who is stupid enough to keep snakes like this and is not sertafied by the city they will most likely go to jail if they sell them illegally or not the city will just take it and give to a certified snake farm and sell it

Hi from South Africa,
A few questions, do you carry any anti-venom for that snake or does your local hospital?
I doubt that I have to tell you the extreme danger of that snake.
Also, is it legal to own one as pet where you live?
I have come across some in the bush in Limpopo province of SA and I just turn and run if i see one. I don't even try to get near it.
Very nice snake collection.
