Both Pesina and Ashby were generally slim in their respective appearances as Johnny Cage and they had the same hairstyle but nowadays they make all the characters look like body builders.
@Zepp900 Totally agree with this comment (even though it's old as hell ahah). I am pretty much a Johnny Cage fangirl but only when it comes to the old school Cage. I hate the new look they gave him.
They should have did more with him and they could have killed him off but shown him trying to escape death. Second movie was bad. Hey it was what it was.
I like this scene a lot, especially the music. Cage does not really equal it later in the movie. It seemed a little suspect that he beat Goro, actually made him do a bit of a flip.
Johnny Cage was much better in the second movie IMO, when played by Chris Conrad. They made him paradoxically weak in the second movie, but gave him great looks.

I caught this film on the UK video in 1995 (it was the first movie that I rented out on my own rental account, as it happens). Part of this scene was cut at the time because the UK Home Office forced the BBFC to remove all scenes from films in which nunchakus were in use (the cuts were waived in 2000 for DVD release).
Ashby looks a lot like tom cruise to me.
