Right... from THAT point on. To get the best ending, you need ALL good futures... which means you will need to track down at least 7 of these generators. I could be wrong... the Time Stones could affect previous levels, but I think until you get all 7, hunting down those generator things is required.
No, as soon as you collect all seven Stones, Good Ending. Probably because Robotnik/Eggman can't control time once you get all seven, and therefore can't get to the past to place the generators.

Yeah, to be honest, CD wasn't one I played too much. If they bring it out for the Wii Virtual console, I'll rectify that, but for now, its one of the least played Sonic games for me.

I wonder what happens if you destroy all generators, metal sonic projectors AND collect all Time Stones. I think metal sonic projector destruction just makes more animals appear though. I think I remember reading somewhere that Sonic CD was the second game in production, and it originally was planned for the Genesis. Of course, that didn't work out as planned, so they had to wait for the Sega CD and make the game for that system.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 was the third game that entered production but obviously, it was programmed and completed much quicker than Sonic CD, so Sonic 2 was the second released in the series.
That's a viable opinion. Sonic 2, Sonic CD, and Sonic 3 & Knuckles were all excellent additions to the Sonic library. People are going to say one's better than the other, but to me... all 3 seem worthy of saying "good". It happens. There's a split in which old-school Sonic IS best in most people's minds.
Yeah I'm going to have to agree with you blu, Sonic 2, Sonic CD, and Sonic 3 & Knuckles were all the best Sonic games of time. I think they kick ass all just the same, as well as Sonic 1. :)

Sonic 2 and Sonic CD were orignally going to be one big game. And Aquatic Ruin Zone was orignally a past version of Emerald Hill Zone.
