  • I think I made it to the Prince and the Pauper levels once. I couldn't beat the haunted house as a kid.

  • I thank you Ace you have just avenged my childhood.

I remember when I was younger playing this on the Genesis

how I could never pass the Weasel Pit, you my freind have

    some mad skills good job.

  • It took me a while to beat this game, I couldn't do it as a kid (I had the SNES version, btw) But its one of those games that takes practice and learning. Good job dude.

  • Hey ACE,i heard that there's a hard mode on this game.Maybe you should do a playthrough. There might be some extra "bosses", like Willie the giant.

  • why doesn't mickey's animation change when he meets pluto? He looks like he never meet pluto.

  • Is mickey mouse blind or something? who runs with his hands in front of him?

  • 0:40 bombs? you want it? it's yours,my friend!

  • That mine cart was really intense for a platformer marketed at kids.

And I think you're suppose to escape the Spider Queen on foot based on the items laid....no idea why the Ladybug was there...perhaps it was a "bug" or an oversight?

Essentially, the first might is either a straight up boss fight, 2nd(doctor) is definitely straight up, Spider Queen might be survival and Pete's a puzzle boss.

Oh and regarding the Moose...didnt Lion King do that as well?

  • @SilentStalkerX no, if you tried to run from the queen she caught you. That took my last remaining life the first time I played this game

  • I have that game for PS1. There is different final boss: After you defeat that boss there is another one where you have to defeat pete (Again) and mickeys of each times helps you.

  • I had this game on the SNES, I loved it but it was so damn hard. I'd occasionally play it when I was tired of Mario and Donkey Kong titles, and I'd usually quit shortly after. I always thought the rocks you throw did no damage at all(useless) until now. :<

I'm gonna go back and play this soon, maybe through emulation or something.

  • Wow i didnt know the boss music on this would be cool

  • That's good Mode 7 for the Moose

  • well done Mickey.

  • Haha I never passed the Prince and Pauper stage... great to know that's the final stage, because it's hard as fart

  • Wow, I've never heard of this game before... it looks like a really cute, fun game.

  • looks just as good as the psx ver

  • I played the PS1 version. I don't know if it happened in any other versions, but sometimes when you jumped on the ladybug, it'd sort of glitch and you'd fall off, leading to your inevitable death due to being unable to outrun the spider.

  • I love this game :D

  • the doctor was gonna get a dog and a duck and cut them up with a saw?????

  • Mmh, this game was incredibly hard for me back then, I was just a kid! Especially the boobytrapped gurney ride, dying so many times in that part. Also, remember Castle of Illusion? I loved that one too back then, was actually the second game I played on the MD, the first one being Sonic The Hedgehog. Good times.

  • 4:45 thats what she said

  • When I played this game, I never made it past the Lonesome Ghosts. Probably because I only rented it.

  • This is rather impressive for the 'megadrive' Aside from that chase scene, the animations flow seamlessly. ...etc etc etc.

  • Come on Pluto!!!

  • You know for a Mickey Mouse game, heck a Disney game in general, its pretty hard, I can only imagine how much of us during childhood died and got game overs during the harder levels, the only other Mickey games I can think of that are very tough as well is the Magical Quest series for SNES, anyways this game definatly had a polar opposite in terms of difficulty with World of Illusion which was the other Mickey game I've played for Genesis. Geeze they just don't make liscensed games *2bcont.*

  • *Continued* Geeze they just don't make liscensed games like they used to, I mean fun,can appeal to kids and anyone of another age because of them actually being challenging, I really wish Disney would pull to re-release this game and the of Illusion series like they did with the Magical Quest series re-releasing them back when the GBA was alive, I just really wish some other Mickey games that were good back in the SNES Genesis era were re-released as well because games like this and *2bcont.*

  • *Continued* because games like this and the of Illusion series really deserve to come back especially since the Disney games of today have turned to crap just to make money on their films (Not counting Kingdom Hearts and Epic Mickey).

  • the gutter ride is not a boss at all

  • One of the hardest games for me when I was a child and played this on the PS1.

  • In the PS1 version, there's also a part where the giant chases you, as well, IIRC.

  • Man, you've gotta admire the development of this game. All the animation is top-notch and Disney standard.

  • I got this for PS1 recently after I discovered my mother had thrown out my Megadrive and associated games, including this timless classic! Worst thing was the game was as hard as I remembered it being at 4 and the furthest I've gotten is Lonely Ghosts so far :( Don't think I ever beat it as a kid...

  • i only know 2 bosses whats the third one

  • I used to play this game on Playstation 1. Even i was playing on Easy, i never

get to fight agaisnt Pete second time.

  • duck plus dog divided by saw equeals....so the mad doctor wanted to slice pluto and a dog in half with a saw

  • @joc95 No, in the cartoon, the mad scientist wanted to SWAP the brains of Pluto and the Duck

  • the weasel pit must have been annoying

  • I think the spider queen is able to fight in this. you just have to take a more direct approch

How to fight spider queen: go right and then kill the ladybug then touch the lantern

  • You know what?

Most Disney licensed games aren't that bad...compared to other licensed games.

  • genesis version of this game seems to be more harder than snes version..

  • how repetative

  • 3 things

1: the gurney ride is not a boss

2: why skip the tower stage

3: what the heck is a megadrive?

  • @SuperJJsmom 1. Well, the game only had 3 "main" bosses. So he tried to make it longer by adding scenes that were KINDA like bosses to him.

    2. Beats me. XD

    3. A "Megadrive" is a Europe Sega Genesis. We got the name "Genesis" because at the time, I believe there was another company/product that went by the same name. I believe Australia and Japan got the "Megadrive" name as well.

  • i never could figure out what chicken plus dog divided by saw was.

  • mad doctor pick the wrong dog or did pluto got lost and enter the castle himself? plz commet back

  • i use to have this for the sega lol it was fun back then...way back then

  • Isn't it a structural hazard to have shuriken fall from the ceiling when you jump?

  • heres What i Have to Say to the last Boss,

STOP HAVING A PATTERN AND BEAUTIFUL ANIMATION

  • i played this game on SNES, it beautiful but BORING

  • well don mickey

  • i miss the old times..

  • USE THE KEYBLADE lmao

  • Ahhhh I used to play this. I think I had the most problem with the stairs (it had spiked boulders?)

  • Awesome dude, you are the best! This video brings so much memories from the childhood, I couldn't play this game through when I was young beacuase this was way too hard. :)

  • The PSOne version is pretty much the same as the Mega-CD version.

  • megadrive =O

  • Wow! Thanks so much for posting! I had forgotten about this game, but now I remember playing it all the time! I think it's still around somewhere. I should dig it out.

  • the ps1 version had different music but i like the music in the original better

  • "mickey mouse hates you"?

  • 6 blows to the head with a wrecking ball thing.. would it really take that many irl?

  • i ingeed KirbyY15 (he landed and the spikes) OW!!!!!

  • The PS1 version was renamed Mickey's Wild Adventure. While it's still the same game, it has much improved visuals and sound and has an extra 'boss' where you're being chased by the Willie the Giant from Mickey and the Beanstalk. Even if you've played the original and you have a PS1, PS2 or PS3 i'd recommend it.

  • lol 'black pete' do u think the pc brigade would allow that these days lol

  • Great!!!! ;) I've played Mickey mouse 16 years ago. :)

  • One thing that I never did understand. The 'spider queen'. I'm wondering if that's actually a spider or what, because whenever I look at it, it seems to have 6 legs. Also, on another note, the Mad Doctor looks a lot easier on the Sega Genesis than on the SNES.

  • Well, there were cob webs by it, so the game intended for her to be a spider.

  • You should call yourself "Mr. Megadrive"!

  • This game should be renamed to "Mickey Mouse hates you"

This game is so hard. But fun.

  • @DoomThroughDoom I agree, who would've thought a Mickey Mouse game would be challenging? Disney games today are just whatever Disney movies come out to make more profit. I've had this since I was a little kid, for years now, and I still never beat it fully. Aladdin for Sega is another hard one.

  • Gurney Ride music is one of the best songs in the game!

  • i like when pete is kumping into that spike and saying ''OW!!!!!''

  • it looks so easy when you play it

  • What is Megadrive?

  • It's what the Sega Genesis was called in Japan and Europe. I happen to live in Europe so that's what I call the machine.

  • O.K. It is a neat name.

  • have this for sega cd

  • have this for sega cd and theres 3 fights with pete

  • @ACESpark Good man. I always hated that 'Genesis' name.

  • mickey is always in this good mood X3

  • I have it on SNES but i distinctly remember there being more patterns on the falling stars than you had versus Pete.

  • Ce l'avevo per la PSX

    I've got this for PSX

  • ^_^quanti ricordi^_^

  • black pete reminds me of king k roll from dk country

  • Hey i have this game on ps1 its epic and is called Mickey great adventure or something

  • XD a boss u cant hit :P

  • Great video!!

  • What console is this on?

  • sega gensis

and theres a ps1 verson called smething with Amazeing adventure i thing meh i forgot the name of it

  • @MetroidDude64's comment:

Genesis/Mega Drive, Super Nintendo, Sega CD, and on the first Playstation under a different name.

  • sega genesis, snes and ps 1

  • It´s really a good game

  • Just incredible visual quality. Even more amazin knowing that it's on the Genesis.

  • i always laugh at pete's ''OW''

  • boy, you are good att his game, you are a million times better than me

  • Ahh How I Loved Thsi Game (:

But Then My Mum Took Away My Sega D:

  • OHH dont bother playing the PS1 version its horrible i played all versions of this games the one for Sega Genesis is the best one

  • what console is this on? because theres another version of this game on playstation call mickys wild adventure.

  • This game was great but I still say the best fun casual game for snes is Aladdin. I remember playing that for hours and not getting bored...plus its not a pain in the ass with the difficulty.

  • Oh man, do I love Mode 7.

  • The mad professor is the boss that i played with my cousin when i was three years old.Talk about nostaligy

  • For AGES i couldnt get passed that spider queen, then when u finally realise to KEEP standing on the ladybug, your fine haha

  • wow, the moose part is creative for the time

  • BTW,you are GOD of the game!!!!;D

  • Duck+Pluto(Mickey's dog)+saw?0.0 Is the Mad Doctor on crack or sumthin?

  • That's not a duck, but it's a chicken.

In the original cartoon, the doctor wanted to switch Pluto's heads with a chicken (represented in shadow form). That cartoon was black and white, and it's on the scary side.

  • Yes

  • Wasn´t it on PlayStation 1, too?

  • Yeah, but that was a clone of the Sega CD version.

  • This game was kinda hard for a kids game.

  • chicken + dog / handsaw... but WHAT DOES IT EQUAL? D:

EPIC MOOSE BATTLE! :O That was my favorite part. 10/5

  • It equals dog head on chicken's body, and later on to see if it reproduces, and yes the moose battle is great.

  • lol its strange the last boss gets hurt by that ball but it woudnt really cuase him pain cuz he weighs so much but his reaction also says that it doesent hurt

  • would you agree that even if its ment for its very hard for young children?

  • I used to love the Disney licensed Genesis games. They were extremely polished platformers.

  • Looks like a decent game

but i still the think the best Disney game for the megadrive was World of Illusion

hours of two player fun is had on that game

  • the final blow on pete in the final boss should of knocked him out the window

  • Was it just US? I thought it was all of North America.

  • Megadrive?

  • I love the music in this version.

also, Pete got OWNED at 0:26.

  • The snes game looks just the same.

  • but with load times and les textures yeah not even close.

  • crappy ending cool bosses cool game rating:4.5/5

  • this game is one of the unforgetable games..

    good gameplay & great soundtracks..

    btw, good job :)

  • no im serious i have this game on my snes and mickey and minnie and the great circus. mystery(yea forgot the tittle)

but i almost beat the snes version but its hard for me i get hit to many times.

  • hey what about the snes version.......i dont know why but i think it might be diffrent

  • looks goood, but i still think that adventures of batman and robin for megadrive looks even better

  • Love that game!!

  • This was a very good game. I loved the level when your with Pluto. And also the ghost level that follows

  • I agree with you about this game being very impressive graphically for the Megadrive. Those enemy sprites really do like animation cels.

  • Heh, I had this game. Got it as a birthday present a long time ago. It was not the best of games of course, but it was all right.

  • good

  • A very nicely done video. I love how you comment these little part. :) good job!
