within temptation is not Gothic its symphonic as is night wish by using the word Gothic its more or less a cringe word you got synthetic metal trip hop whore pop and machinima gothic is just a culture the music isnt really called gothic music

Symphonic Metal came from Tristania in the late 90's. So symphonic Metal has a very strong connection with the Gothic Metal sub culture. Although symphonic Metal or Gothic Metal Isn't really Goth it's self just only through it's connection with the Gothic rock sub culture. True Goth bands are the Sisters of Mercey, The Cure, Bauhaus, Siouxsie & the Banshees, Nox Arcana, Clan OF Xymox :)

I really consider Gothic Metal, Gothic Folk and also part of Symphonic Metal as a real Gothic Music, because of instrumentalism and lyrics.

...those bands like siouxsie & the banshees, the cure, etc. are just poppy punky bands for me, they don't even have something that I could tell it's Goth.

Sharon Den Adel has captured the hearts of other musicians alike. Dave Grohl and Anette from Nightwish are a few who to name. To say say she's screaming is an insult. I will admit she's not the greatest Live but she has improved (A great lot) after the silent Force.

i bought every album and have not been disappointed at all with any of them. this is by far the best band NOT to be discovered in north america mainstream. in a way its a good thing, some dumb ass record exec would try to fix what is far from broken.
