@canadianguy0987 Propecia works two ways: 1) regrowth of hair, and 2) prevent further hair loss. If you don't see regrowth of hair, it does not mean that Propecia does not work. It may mean that it prevented further loss of hair. If you are losing your hair and if you take pics within a year apart and see no difference, then Propecia must be working.

I got the side effects after 10 days of usage, but you know what, I carried on taking it and after a week or so everything was back to normal. Just stick it out. There are too many scare stories out there about this drug, most are from people who did not give their bodies enough time to adjust to the drug.

Propecia works, it's just the problem with the side effects..The problem with the side effects in propecia is the fact that the recommended dose is 1 mg daily. Although, studies have shown that there was no difference between a .2 mg - 1 mg dosage of Propecia.Many people believe that the actual recommended dosage is much too high which creates more side effects.As is true, I have split my daily dosage to .25 mg (1/4) of my 1 mg propecia pill. It has been working the same with less side effects

Propecia works for me. However, just like any prescription, you need to consult your doctor. Based on what i have seen in pics and from that doctors told me, it is quite rare that Propecia works at the temples region, therefore you would need hair transplant there.

to answer some questions: 1) the hairloss seems to stop gradually, and by 6 months, i notice much less hair loss in the shower or on my pillow. 2)I did not have any side effect from Propecia, but there are reported cases (about 2%) of side effects. These are TEMPORARY and the side effects are are gone after stopping Propecia. 3)I did not have initial shed. 4)if you plan on taking Propecia, consult a doctor, and don't rely on internet posting like these.
