  • it is a bit crazy, but this is how you are suposed to land at st.marteen in a 747 not to overshoot the runway. the runway is so short that you have to land like this if you want tp be able to stop on the runway

  • @MrDestinedtofail I'm imagining the co-pilot doing this!......picture in you mind..... you're travelling as a passenger in the front seat of a car with a driver that likes to drive too fast and brake way too late, approaching a roundabout or sharp turn!.....anyone who's been in that situation does the exact same thing! Grabs the door handle and pushes both feet VERY hard into the foot well as though a huge imaginary brake pedal is there to help. :0)

  • @pcferret true, still i hope the co pilot doesent do that while landing, dont really want to turn the rudder like that at final approach :P

  • @gj3rmund LOL......Arrrrrr Where the hell has the runway gone..........Ahhhhh!!!! ;0)

  • Lol i remember seeing this airport on tv. It was like 10 most dangerous airports or something. If you stand near the fence it can blow u into the ocean. Not too sure if its the same one I saw on tv, but I think it is =P

  • so want to go at martin to see planes land

  • This is incredibly real. People who think this is fake are...

    1. Stupid

    2. Lazy (since they don't want to take the time to actually read about the airport)

So instead of taking a minute of your time to look it up, you base your opinion on a 30 second clip and your mind is made up. And how stupid and lazy are you retards for not realizing there's like 10 more videos in the recommended section just inches to your right of the same airport with different planes. Good lord people are worthless.

  • The airstrip in Grand Cayman Islands has a similar approach ,right over the shoreline of the water.

The beaches are not anywhere near the landing strip.

I does appear that you are going to drop the landing gear into the water when your are coming in for a landing, although you are actually a ways above it.

The runway is short so no big planes can stop in time and they really hammer the brakes once they touchdown so they don't run into the trees in the other end. The opposite is true when leaving

  • It is a dutch airplane.

And i am from the netherlands (L)

    110%true.

    0,o%fake

  • @jellyjazz You're talking out of your arse..!

  • @jellyjazz you sir are a fucking idiot.

  • @jellyjazz you are such a retard...this is a very common approach in Princess Juliana Airport

  • @jellyjazz this is damn real

  • @jellyjazz your right because at that airport when planes come, cars cant pass a part of that road

  • @jellyjazz lol this is completely real. i've seen it wit me own two eyes! nuts!

  • @jellyjazz U are stuped :P read comments before yours

  • @jellyjazz dumbass

  • héy_ãnY_güYs_wÂnt_t0_chÀt_wIth_mÉ

  • I love watching these videos of Maho beach and how a lot of people think they are fake. They certainly arent fake. This is a real airport very close to the beach. The big jets have to land as close to the end of the runway as possible because the runway is only 2180m long. Oh and yes there are warning signs stating that arriving and departing plane can cause serious physical harm result in serious injury and/or death.

For anyone that has any doubts just google "Maho Beach" to find out more.

  • this island is very short, because large airbuses begin landing on the beach.

Sochi airport "Adler" also similar situation.

  • @JarrodSlater92 I've been to st.maartens and have experienced this, I assure those planes are not fake.

  • @JarrodSlater92 This is in St. Maarten, It's not fake.

  • @JarrodSlater92

    sorry guy,

But i leaved here 15 years ago for 6 years and Yes when we had frîends of us visiting us, my mom, her husband and I used to stay in the car right behind the gate in the car or we used to hold ourselves waiting for the take off: here u feel the power!tought, the ende of the track is 50 meters form the gate wich is enough to loose you camera in the water wich is 25m back. later on, whith some accidents, they put a little gate to avoid park there what we used to.

  • @JarrodSlater92 Sorry man, it's not fake. You can find plenty of videos of people standing on beaches behind aircraft taking off, which is by far, by far more dangerous than a landing. Not to mention this happens all the time at airports located near water. This was an unusually low approach, however, even for this airport.

You think these are all fake?

    /watch?v=ITsqHneYrE8&feature=related

    /watch?v=db_kp61R6Jg&feature=related

    /watch?v=RavdHOj-BA8&feature=related

    Sorry bud, they're real.

  • @JarrodSlater92: Obviously, you are not familiar with the term 'Wake turbulence', nor have you ever been to the Princess Juliana International Airport. This is as real as it gets, and the video appears to have been shot using the MPEG function of a digital camera. pcferret can correct me if I am wrong.

  • @JarrodSlater92 dumbass

  • so like if the people in the red car had leaft from where ever they were driving from like 3 seconds later that they actuly did...bye bye red car

  • Do you think people ever throw stuff at it before it lands just for a laugh?

  • they are fucked if a tall truck or something was there

  • Amazing takeoff... I like it very much!!!

  • FUCKING HELL!!! why do people think that this is fake? BOEING 747s land like that at that airport all the time. SO STOP SAYING IT'S FAKE!!!!

  • hey daddy, can we get a convertible?

    No, sweety, we

    (CRASH!!!)

    here's your convertible, honey..

  • There's nothing fake about this. It's Princess Juliana International Airport in St. Martin.

  • That's very real, been there Maho beach, St.Maarten, Antilles airstrip is just by the beach and aircrafts come in really low.....cool to watch.....grt8 vid.

  • All of you who think it's fake are very ignorant. As a plane descends, the turbines release less power so theres less thrust. Therefore, it won't dramatically blow everything away. Though in full power, a 747 can easily blow a full school bus back quite a distance.

  • @ThePrisonSystem True, he is at near minimum thrust here. Also, you have to remember that even though it looks very close to the ground he still is about 70 feet up when he crosses over the people.

  • Is there a sign there: Watch out for airplanes! insteat of: watch out for sharks?

  • @sCoryvo I must be getting old, but I'm starting to cross off holiday destinations that come with warning signs! ;0)

  • @sCoryvo Actually, yes. There is a sign that warns people about how low the planes fly and to be careful of the wind generated from the plane engines during takeoff.

  • MIND=BLOWN

  • wow - that actually (for st martin) seemed real close... !!! great vid...!!

  • @cbecks2051 OK, if you would like to ACTUALLY Provide the proof that you claim, then you can DEMAND that youtube remove it, before that, please...a) do some research...b) go there.....c) grow up and form your own opinions based on reasoning...d) .....OH.....Sorry, you're probably being buggered by one of the upper form boys by now!!! e) FUCK OFF and any someone else......cheers, many thanks for your input of course!

  • @cbecks2051 HOW has it been PROVEN? Think about your arguments before making the (unless your'e a ......well..er muppet!!!)

  • @pcferret Don't worry about it dude....some people are like that.

  • @cbecks2051 well what i think is that u should learn more about airplanes dumbfuck, when an airplanes comes into a landing, it idles, meaning that no thrust is being given out of the engines, and the airplane is gliding till it reaches the runway, then it would apple reverse thrust if it had any on. read before you post numbnuts

  • @cbecks2051 its a landing, not a takeoff. there is zero thrust when a plane lands

  • @cbecks2051 How much thrust do you think its producing when its landing?

  • @cbecks2051 don't be a dumbass -.- When a plane lands it turns off it's engines which then it glides so what sort of blowing would be caused? You tell me before you go insulting people on youtube go get a life you bastard .

  • @cbecks2051 you don't even know what you're talking about, ever been to st maartin? YOU CAN'T PROVE ANYTHING DOUCHE.

  • @cbecks2051 You ignorant slut before you make these stupid comments think for a second, This is in St. maarten, and IT IS NOT FAKE.

  • ??? that was fucking close.. insane 0_______0

  • That was one crazy crazy landing and ya dnt use reverse thrust untill the tyre have fully touched the ground!!!!! still close one guys!!!!

  • THIS IS ST.MARTEEN IN THE CARRIBEAN...THERE HASNT BEEN ONE CRASH OR SHORT APPROACH SO THATS WHY PEOPLE ARE ALLOWED SO CLOSE..THEY ALSO HAVE A RITUAL I TOOK PART IN CALLED "RIDING THE FENCE" WHEN THE JETS ARE TAKING OFF THE BLAST MAKES PEOPLE FLY.500,000LBS OF THRUST WILL MAKE U FLY HAHA.BUT AS SOON AS SOMETHING HAPPENS THEY WILL FENCE IT OFF.THERES A BAR WHERE THEYRE STANDING ALLED THE SUNSET BAR&GRILL AND THEY HAVE A LONG SURFBOARD WITH THE ARRIVAL TIMES ON IT.I SUGGEST U VISIT SOME DAY!!

  • You are all idiots!!! this video is damn real.... i was there for holiday. every week, KLM lands here with a boeing 747.

  • Not real 100%

  • Yes doubters, it's real!

  • thats St maarten airport, the runway is next to the beach :P

  • 咁降落都得- -

  • It Is real, it is St. Maartens

  • The size of the plane probably makes it look lower then it is. Its probably higher then a house as it goes over the road

  • this airport is fucking crazy. the gear looks 5 feet above the cars. lets say a bus or something got stuck in traffic, the bus would be fucked

  • fucking crazy

  • somebody should park a double decker bus there

  • i believe,it's true. i searched the info and heard this before

  • This video is not fake. It really is a low level approach.

  • it´s 100% crazy

  • Perhaps he had to go to the loo.

  • well considering they are comming using ILS , over water the the obsacle hight is almost 0 because you have a flat surface .And we all can hear that the trust was not at idle , you can hear that he went for some time under the glide sow he adet a little power to no be to low and to mentain the glide slope .Probabli it was an otomatic landing

  • did he died

  • it rly look fake...

i remember the thrust from the engine can blow a car away.

  • u idle the engine when you're 100 ft off the ground to land

  • No it can not. The pilot brings the thrust back to idle. Not enough wind when the engine is at idle.

  • thats when the plane is taking off.

  • @gunzpk3r when you land you dont thrust u dumbass, that would just make u lift off again

  • How can it be fake you dum fuck? this is juliana airport on st maartens carribean -

  • HOW CAN'T YOU SEE I AM JUST KIDDING!

  • O_O

    Amazing!

  • Just Google Earth St Maarten.

    Cool video :)

  • HAHAHHAHHAHA FAIL

  • What?

    uhhhhuhhhhuhhh IDIOT!

  • man WTF is wrong with those dumb ass people one of this days the pilot is gona come just a little to low then normal and those people are gona have a face full of bolder and sea water dumb ass mother fuckers

  • man u could touch the plane if u jumped :D

  • heres a collection of videos from the web of this airport and the people that are blasted into the water,

    watch?v=SJdQdONpVQM

  • This must be fake your right I think the reverse thrust or the jet engines alone would simply toss anything in its rear path. This is too good to be true. Can anyone prove me wrong? Have they seen this in reality?

  • Read the posts and do some research! or just go there! There is a bar near the end of the airstrip that has a live feed web cam!

I just love it when people are so adamant that something is 'fake', without actualy having a clue about what they are saying!!! or doing the most basic bit of research! JEEZ, 2 MINUTES, that's all it takes!

  • @pcferret It takes 2 minutes to find it's real, or 2 seconds to say it's fake. That's the issue - people are lazy. I'd love to go to that beach sometime !! :)

  • If the plane was in reverse thrust then the engine would be pushing back not forward.

  • I did end up at this beach 6 years ago and will say that is exactly what goes on. The planes are about 15 to 20 feet above you, loud and rumblin'. I can't say there was any problem with back thrust because we laid in position to have the planes go right over us and we came home injury free, except for our ear drums.

  • The pilot is mad... he is not fit to be a pilot....

  • no check out st maartin landing in youtube its 100% true and u hav to land like that.

  • Shit... This is actually real. Holy crap.

  • No fucking way that's real...

  • it is 100% true!

  • nice landing...

  • Unreal...!!!

  • holly fuck

  • cant the engines suck the people in? i mean if they are that close. or at least blow them away

  • That was way too close man!

  • That's a real 747 Low-Approach Landing at Princess Juliana - St Maarten airport.. Short Runway. I'm sure this is real!!!

  • нифига себе миллиметрон! Как он только забор и людей не смял

  • heheh omfggg xD so hard ^^

  • but what was behind the ladin of plane that should be blowed away from that motor of 747 but everythink was in own place

  • CRAZY!!!

  • hahaha the pilot sure saw on his radar that there is no truck or a bus on the street :)

  • Planes do not really have radar do they?

  • hell yeah 2 dedicated system for weather and trafic

  • omg 8---------> (.)(.)

  • lol dutch airplane

  • What the fuck?!?!?!?!

  • Looks like a perfectly safe landing to me. :)

  • O.O

    Wouldn't your ears like... die?

  • I think this airport is in St Marteen

  • yes it is, READ THE DESCRIPTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i think that was some crazy airport... The Runway not twenty meters from the beach.

  • If that babe crashes and i was in that street i'd simply lol and prolly die from the explotion xD

  • People said that any landing where you could keep going on whit your regular life..its a fine landing

  • Who said that... whoever they are there a dumbass

  • Pause at 0:21 FUK

  • I just found out this IS real! The runway is short. I have to go there, this is a plane watchers wet dream!

  • Is there anybody out there who knows for sure if this is bullshit? It has to be. I'm not a pilot, but I know you don't approach that low.

  • walao....

  • i thought what i see alot is low . i thought they would hit the fence

  • wooooww....i'd so totally be scared to death but that would make it fun! i want to see it for real!!!

  • can u imagine if there woz somthin rong witht he plane and had to crash and you lot thought thats how low itsmeant tobe well

  • ive been there it feels like your goin into the water

  • Que locuraa tava casi que pegava de la serca me imagino que le faltarian como medio metro para darle ala serca por que entro demaciado atras de donde se aterriza eso es ser un veterano volando

  • That cant be real what about wake turbulence

  • goooooooood....so crazy....fuck!!

  • haha.. u can actually hit it with a beach ball..lol

  • damn!

  • how low can ya go? =]

    ahh. St. Maarten

  • When I was in St. Maarten I visited this airport. It's absolutely nuts. This cool little bar sits right outside of it. I could've sat there all day.

  • talk about up close and personal, thats a good pilot.good vid

  • thats actually a horrible pilot... he shouldnt have been near that low

  • Looked like it couldve it a car

  • wow!!!!

  • you gotta be stupid thats a real landing st. martan

  • are u stupid. That is a real landing at st. marteen. You need to look up some other videos from there

  • those arent strings moron.

when a camcorder vid lags, it splits into smaller squares. u just saw taht

  • Thanks for the clarification.

  • unfucking beleivable speachless.......

  • They should not fly there, or just expand the runway. Thats really dangerous. But holy, cool video!

  • i believe also there is no ILS system at this airport, so the entire landing and flap/engine controls are adjusted manually.

  • Flap controls have never been automatic. Engines and flaps are not controlled by ILS.

  • yeah i was thinking the same thing :/

  • are you kidding me.....is that video for real?....lol

  • Oh yeah!! have a search around, there are a few other posts, not all as dramatic. This is one crazy airport!!! :0)

  • try to search landing in kai tak, hong kong... that is the craziest airport in the world... search for it!!

  • What looks strange is that it flew very low on the approach. Usually they keep some reasonable angle of decent from far away. Say in Newark Airport, NJ, USA it wouldn't be possible, as he would hit the highway overpass.

  • Please land on the runway. :-)

  • Are you kidding me!?

WOW! LOL That's amazing... I can't believe nothing gets sucked into those engines. This is actually a dangerous landing zone because of the proximity to the beach... Seagulls will murder this plane lol

  • That was close to ripping off the chain link on top of the fence for sure. I wonder what that would have done to the plane if that happeened =D probably not much / just broke.

  • I now shall not ever be flying KLM....After Teneriffe thats it for me.....short runway or not.

  • lmao !

  • too close for comfort ...

  • Wow

I love that airport.Nice landing. Some of the best pilots are from KLM. Good job!!!!!!!!

  • fake my arse. The runway there is so short they need to land right at the start of the runway.

  • oh my god...I was there once...and I was scared that we were gonna crash

  • nobody was scared?

  • good 'ol KLM, remember the worst "air disaster" that happened prior to 911 (except that it wasnt in the air)

  • Tenerife 1977 - 583 Dead, 61 survivors. KLM pilot too anxious to get off, didn't concentrate and didn't hear (or heed) a warning that the PanAm was on the runway. The rest is history.

  • If Shaq was in the 747 approach I guess hack a Shaq would be decab a Shaq!

  • nice try but no

  • klm stoped sending 747 s to st maarten

  • Thats crazy

  • Wow, look at the tailwind!

  • o kurwa

  • The scary thing is that is actually true. All those people saying its not research it some more!!!!!

  • Well said my friend! it's not hard to find a lot more on this airport. :0)

  • how is this fake moron? its true i seen it on the news when it came out
