Saw this movie in the cinema during a film festival 2 weeks ago. The movie is worth watching. The fight scene in the trailer is fake. It also wasn't in the actual movie. Worst thing that happend to the guys in the movie was a somewhat heated discussion with some people.
To my great suprise the people who had been fooled kept it very civil actually. Quite a complement to the Czechs that was in my opinion.

It's an important concept to realize; they didn't make this film look like it was "really there" on purpose. It's clear that everyone in the movie were actors. That's not what you should be thinking about or discussing, because it's OBVIOUS. Think about the fact that materialism and capitalism is effectively engulfing the culture and social stability of the Czech people!

This trailer is a scam just like their publicity stunt of a hypermarket. There was no lynching. They spent a load of taxpayer money to make this film which aggravated the angry mob more. Anyway these guys have a promising carreer in marketing. The ad agency had higher standards than these guys because they argued with the film makers that they would not lie by saying the people who came would leave with something if they didn't give them something. They settled on giving away keychains.
Dost drsná ukázka davové a konzumní hlouposti. Bohužel takovýchto lidí je stále mnoho. Snad alespoň někteří otevřeli taky oči a nejen pusy..a snad tam byl i někdo kdo autory (zde oběti) chránil.
Nápad prostě skvělý, jen domyslet, že ta energie a agresivita se někde bude ventilovat...
Lidé bohužel většinou nesnášejí, když se jejich chybám (nebo egu) nastaví zrdcadlo..
Hodně štěstí v dalších projektech a 'zadní vrátka' otevřená..

hah! total mockumentary, they had camera angles from INSIDE the car when the guy was beating on it with a baseball bat....and the birds eye swooping camera effect when they were running towards the car ...you can only do that with a massive moving machine thing with a camera riding high the top. Interesting, but not real.
for me this agression scene was played by actors... why? Who come to hipermarket with baseball in Czech? It`s a Czech not USA... Baseball is not popular in Czech but it looks cool in demolition scene. So lying, lying and lying.... from begining to the end - autocreation. But as para documentary is a quite funny.

Unfortunately, there is this shopping-madness all over the developed world, especially in former communistic countries, because the huge shops, which we have today, were unbelieveble for Czechoslovaks, Poles, Hungarians etc. 20 years ago. I hope today's curious times of consum are about to end.
Old Praha is turning into new and improved Praha with the help of tourism, and the czech republic is realising this by weakening border controls over their neirbouring countries.
I visted Gdansk in poland in october, and the number of shops and services there where below that of a village in the UK, where does all the money go in their country? It should be used in spending/tax to help their diabolic economy.
@Aldhick Ten bonus by mě docela zajímal, fakt je to nahraný? Já s nima slyšel tenkrát rozhovor na Rádiu Akropolis, kde naopak tvrdili, že to autentický bylo, že to jen nechtěli pouštět ven kvůli sponzorům. I když v případě Klusáka s Remundou je vážně těžký říct, co je jenom kec a co ne... :)
It wasn't hoax, I remember tv spots, leaflefts in our mail boxes. And about camera positions, actors etc.? There was hired a film unit to document this project. And both founders were learnt to behave like real managers. They were only university students before.
I don't think that their concept was good at all---there is nothing strange about the fact that real advertisements were taken seriously, and they obviously discovered the hoax immediately. Also, concerning that "tempting" consumption -- it was FOOD they were after! And household products!!!! This is not a bad thing!
