    i kinda wish you put the chords down like this dont really need the names of them or the basic major and minors . just hard to tell sometimes Like on fanny be tender i used the make it with you chords after the E it worked maybe you know what i mean HEY i just appreciate what you do thanks for sticking up for the beatles on one of your comments I guess some folks just dont know how fab the4 was later

  • Larry, Please do a tutorial Video on "Out in the Country" your version was fantastic. Thank you so much!!!

  • Larry..I came across this video today, and as soon as i saw the title, i had to listen to it again and knew i was going to comment..Yes, i can't play a guitar and even if i could, i would NEVER be able to play like you...However, i can easily see why people ask you to teach them ..Your skill in all parts of music, especially guitar, is limitless..You did Glen's song, and i know many aprreciate and learn from you...You are admired by so many, myself included...ione marie

  • If nothing else your covers are really good inspiration for us others whom are coming along in their music talents and getting in effect 'free demos and lessons' is only helping the whole music talents and sharing scenes and even globally. We can always transpose the key you might have used or alter chords, but getting the basics is all on the plus side or hearing the variables within you sound effects can even be helpful. If you go Lessons route soon, no doubt I am watching closely.

  • Larry, you're a very talented guy, and I've been enjoying your music for a couple of years now. I hope you'll keep recording! Here's to a great 2012!

  • 'LET STAY TOGETHER"...this is a great idea!!!!ive already learned alot from you ...ive been playing for 40 years now and got the basics down but its all the little things you do'WILD FIRE" OR ANYTHING by Bread(thats hard i know)

    Rich

  • CARRY ON - cant figure what 2 vocal parts to do - I can only do 2

    PS

    LARRY your what I watch when theres no work to be done around the house!

  • Break down your great version of Buttercup I'm having a heck of a time covering it

  • Larry I think your great

    If you would just show the chords on the neck each time you play I think that would help most people learn your style and if your videos would be in pitch or the same Key when played back ???? so we could play along

  • Larry....In all honesty, i truly believe that any and all of your guitar player friends and fans would be honored with any song you choose to play and teach them...HELL...i cant play to save my life, but you could teach me the easiest song, like row row row your boat gently down the stream and id be happy as hell...Everyone would be telling me to shut up with it...lol....You have a genuine gift that anyone would be happy to learn from...ione marie

  • Any piano song Larry

    I love the one from Eric Carmen

    Regards,

    Rob

  • Love all your stuff, especially the old soul tunes. And you look a lot like Dick Cheney, too. ;v)

  • Larry, I don't want to burden you with requests, but I know you do "AMERICA", and very well. I would like to hear "Donkey Jaw", and "The Children", and "Rainy Days", which don't appear to be available on youtube, at least not in a video of good enough quality to enjoy it. If and when you do, I'll be in your debt. Take care.

  • Larry, I,m back since I found you yesterday. I can't imagine you have all day to read our words to you, so if/when you can. I know you will know the 2 songs I am requesting because your flavor for the good songs rings true every time!

    Please, with a capital P will you figure out and show me 1.- 'Lady love', Piano & guitar from Quicksilver messenger service. 2. Light of the world by England Dan/Jon ford- coly.

    I remain a much admiring fan

  • Can I say this? I ARE AWESOME! Seriously, I've watched all of your videos and as a struggling 48 year old guitarist you've totally inspired me to try to sing and play properly. What I'd love to get an insight into is how you work out the timing and rhythm of a song, because I think that's the real key to creating "the groove." If you could talk about how you approach the counting and strumming that would be really cool. Even if it's for a simple song like "Smoke on the water" THANK YOU!

  • I say we go with old man Neil Young

  • Larry Love your music i have a request for lesson video of America - I Need You on Piano! its a Great Song i think many ppl would injoy it .you play it spot on It Would be the only Lesson for it i have have been looking for months hopeing someone would post a lesson for it. thanks

    When you make the video be sure to let the guitar out clearly (as the filming of Nipius Kee, for example). o, we can leran from you!

    Thanks

    You're very careful in what you do, so the result is good!

  • Yes, please some tutorials would be great. You're way too modest, your guitar playing is great. CSNY songs would be nice.

  • Magnet and Steel, without out a doubt.Your acoustic guitar version is top notch.It sounds very full and complete the way you have a bass line,play the chords and pick.I certainly have to agree with the other poster who referred to you as one man band.This song just picks me up and takes me away.It seems that it does the same for you.Thanks!

  • "words" by the bee gees

  • Hi Larry,

    I just recently discovered your video's and for a starting guitar player like me you are very inspirational! Can't stop watching and trying Magnet and Steel so that would be my choice.

    Thanks and please keep on playing.

  • Opps, I meant "Pieces of April" by Three Dog Night

  • My favorites are:

    Stephen Stills..Suite Judy Blue Eyes

    Ain't no Sunshine when she is gone..

    Bread...Pieces of April

    You do these all exceptionally well, and your performance of these have opened my consciousness, that had been somewhat crippled by my time in VN, when these were happening...For what it is worth...your are fantastic

  • Embryonic Journey ~ Jorma Kaukonen

  • build me up buttercup (the foundations) and wonderfull tonight (clapton) great covers that most wannerbe acoustic guitarists would want to play !

  • Into The Mystic - Van Morrison Hey Larry I'm curious to know if you took singing lessons or voice lessons.

  • Larry , People on YouTube are blessed to have you, thank you so much..

  • wichita lineman

  • Bread-Make It With You or America-Three Roses

  • Beautiful by Lightfoot

  • Larry, I have enjoyed your performance of Spooky at least 20 times. It is so cool, I would love to see a lesson on that tune. Thank you for the epic performance. Ultra groovy. Peace

  • Please do Light my Fire. You're Version is So Cool

    thanks in Advance!

  • It's not that we want to play like you, but you play so well, that we all learn how to play better, since you do it so well yourself. I think we all have our own style though....thanks Larry! Suesey

  • I would agree with anything by Bread. I would also vote for Norwegian Wood, I woke up in love this morning, Sealed with a Kiss and Come Monday. Thanks for all the good music and we are still waiting for the Viper. Thanks.

  • Comment removed

  • I would also vote (if we are even being that formal) for Sounds of Silence. However after seeing your version of Chico and the Man I got to thinking about TV Themes and how some of them are actually quite good. So I have to echo the poster who requested Welcome Back Kotter, which is one of the best theme songs ever.

  • Clarice by America, or any America,Bread or CSNY. I can figure out most of your videos but on some you can't see your left hand, so prehaps just a bit more camera there would help.Keep your loverly videos coming.

  • I'd appreciate a breakdown of 'Try a Little Kindness', but I might be the only one. Thought I'd throw it out anyway.

  • I see a lot of guitar lessons on youtube.Your videos are a lesson to me. For example, my Grandfather got me started by teaching me basic guitar playing, many songs from the 60's and 70's. Although I can strum basic guitar chords it sometimes takes me a lot of practice learning the rhythm of songs, for example for some reason I couldn't get the song Turn Turn Turn until seeing your cover version. It helped me to learn the rhythm of the chords with the words. Dreidel is a song I'm trying to learn.

  • I love your rendition of Sadly Beautiful, but would also love to see Still, you turn me on.

  • Larry, you are a good, good man. Moments of joy are a byproduct of your youtube creations. Wishing you joy in return . Thanks.

  • Wichita Lineman - Heaven is a place on earth - Brandy - Spooky - Stormy. Please do these and any others.

  • Howdy jth91

    yep you hit the nail on the head wiht these songs

    there's 2 votes for ya' Larry (:

  • You're a good man Larry, and because you have Jésus Christ on your shoulder, I'm thinking of John Denver " Sunshine On My Shoulder".

    Sorry again for my English.

  • i'd love a tutorial on your great version of Amie by Pure Prarie League and/or i'm always trying to work on my version of Grateful Dead's Going Down The Road Feeling Bad. One last request is a fun version of Iko Iko, i like the Dead's version.

    many thanks for your videos, talent and offer to assist us fellow musicians.

    Walker

  • Hi Larry, U2.......One. Thanks

  • still.. you turn me on - greg lake

  • Lucky Man - ELP

  • all your covers songs were awesome and its good to learn them so if its not too much trouble, do all of them. you can start with all the beatles songs. THANK you!

  • Hi Larry,

    Thanks for experimenting with the tutorial concept ! :)

    An accomplished musician might be challenged to teach an audience with beginner, intermediate, advanced ...

    One vote for Dan Fogleberg's epic: Leader of the Band

    LA Guy

  • Apache

  • Nexus - Dan Fogelberg

  • LOVE to see you do the Water is WIDE by James Taylor or Hearts& Crafts by DAN FOGELBERG!!!!!!!

  • Thanks for your helpful and entertaining videos. I would love for your to perform and teach James Taylor's "You Can Close Your Eyes."

  • I've learned so many songs from watching you Larry. Would be great to get all the details in a tutorial! Some faves: any Bee Gees, Bacharach, real love, make it with you, out in the country, crystal blue persuasion, . . .

  • frankly said, sir

    there are so many tutorials on youtubeland..

    don´t waste your talent

    be creative and show us some real fine ORIGINALS

    good night and good luck

  • I too vote for "Sounds of Silence" or "Tears in Heaven". But to have you show us anything will be a blessing. So....I look forward to your choice!

    ~~~Lisa
  • Larry, you and i talked briefly about lesson videos and other stuff once and i feel that youre being pressured into this. You're great man, but dont overwork yourself. You told me yourself it takes a lot of time to make your videos. Do one a month maybe? THAT SAID....
    I think you're awesome for doing what some fans have requested, DONT overwork yourself and if you can...maybe "Tears in Heaven"? (not lesson, just vid) THX! PEACE!
  • I'd welcome any tutorial you had, but a few songs come to mind:
    Call Me; Wicked Game; This Guy's in Love With You; Hello Again; Play Me; Just My Style; anything by America, Bread, or Air Supply.
    i can't think of anyone I'd rather have as a music teacher.
  • Thanks for this request opportunity Larry. Anything by Barry Manilow would be great!
  • Bread, anything by Bread
  • hi larry!!!
    this is a good idea!
    I'd like to learn how you to play "wind wave - america" chords and rithm
    and I would really like play "let me be the one- carpenters" but I'd play it with guitar, you know is hard to get a piano xD thanks again! :)
  • Wow! What a great opportunity! You have a great style, and i would love for you to teach "Call Me, Petula Clark Shirley Bassey Cover". I really dig the way you play it on guitar. If you could do this i would be truly grateful and try to do the song justice. I have been trying to learn it bit by bit from your fine video, but it is slow going. Thanks a quadrillion!
  • Traces...Every Day With You Girl...Do It or Die..Everybody's Talking At Me...Georgia on my Mind....Castles in the Air...Castles in the Sand...heck there are a million of them...since I try to play at the guitar a bit I would be interested in the guitar version of this...the piano is great and all, just not my thing. Thanks again for all you do Larry! Rock on!
  • Welcome Back Kotter
    please
  • picture book by the kinks
  • Hi Larry, if you could read my mind...
    greatings from germany
  • As a guitar player for many years, I would like to say that I enjoy your videos.
    While I can figure out most of what you do, there is one song that I would like to see more details on regarding chords and fingering - and that would be 'Castles in the Aire' . You interpretation was spot on! Good job on all - you keep me inspired to continue playing and enjoying music.
    gc
  • Of course we want to play like you silly! I'll probably be the only one to request this one but I've been working on your cover of Skylarks' "Wildflower and having a couple rough spots. My other usual requests would be anything CSNY, Jackson Browne, James Taylor.
    Peace & Harmony my friend
    bri
  • thanks Larry
    haven't seen you play " Do you know what it means to miss New Orleans "
    would like to learn
