Check my 9year old son Alvin playing this song after only two weeks of playing. Search Alvin Paige! Although I believe he shows promise I'd never buy a pro model horn at the beginning or intermediate level. Maybe once he got a scholarship to major in music in college or is touring with Charles McPherson I'd consider it. Hah

Rich kid..... why even mention the custom z in the title lol.... I say ignore them, there was really no need for such an expensive horn for a beginner, but a good horn is a good horn.... anyway selmer paris is better.

I say that his custom Z is working as waste for now. most of the sounds are not depending on the sax, they are on the skills of the players.

It's the player that does the quality, not the instrument.

I think you shouldn't buy a Custom Z at your level you should stick with a student before getting a professional sax...I've been playing for three years and still have a yas-275 student sax.

like ryguy said work on tone and vibrato but also work on technique. your fingers are all over the place. curl then around and have your finger tips touching or about a millimeter off them and keep them that way.

Good! But work on musicality. You have the notes, but it's just not very musical yet... Add in details like vibrato and dynamics. They are the basics for any for player and can get you far. Keep working! :)
