You know what I've found is odd? I set the affinity to 1 cpu, then go into the settings and set it up to be on a single processor er whatever, and I get phenomenal performance.
When you run the game, press cntrl+alt+delete then go to Task Manager, and it's "Processes" tab. Find left4dead.exe, right click it in the list, then go to "Set Affinity..."
If you are running a dual core cpu, uncheck just one of the boxes, then click ok. This sets the affinity to one cpu instead of breaking up the tasks across both cores. If you have quad, I don't know, but I guess uncheck 3.
In the Left4dead settings, the setting "optimize for dual cards" or something, turn that off
The game isn't off steam and my laptop is a Toshiba x205 S9810. Cost me about 1600 $ 1.5 year ago. Dont get it there are much better laptops for the price out there! ;]
Hi. Can you tell us what is your laptop configuration (cpu, ram, brand laptop, etc.). And if possible, what version of the NVIDIA ForceWare installed on your computer, thank you very much.
