You basically got it, you want to just keep the maximum amount of smoke in your mouth when blowing them and try to keep a constant breath like going out at the same time. A mix of the smoke and consistency with air blowing out should help you get them thicker. Its all about feel, just keep practicing and you will find out what works and what doesn't.
