  • great job with those patches. so, if i understand, you fed the mw into the audio in on the xtk to apply fx? i have been reading much about wt synthesis lately and experimenting heavily with a blofeld. i very much like the creamy filter characters incl ppg lp model and brilliance feature to give mw sheen to waves. nice with new wt start position mod destination after last update. excellent synth for this price. encoder input a bit buggy. but the sound it CAN achieve makes this a fine addition to

  • Can the Largo vsti do these sounds?

  • @maccagrabme

the Largo sound is different to the MW 2

  • i just bought this for 180 dollars local. The cause of the cheap price was because of the encoders where skipping counts and it was hard as hell to program a patch. so i decided to open it up and look at it. i cleaned all the encoders and now it works perfect! this is the best buy i have ever done. haha! thanks again retrosound for your amazing demos!

  • @pomfrit93

    thank you :)

  • @pomfrit93 thats CHEAP@#!@#!@#

  • @alexmauer Yeah.. i sold it after i did the cleaning for twice the price and bought a waldorf pulse with cv.. so now i can control my sh 101 ;)

  • I know my Korg could do a lot of the sounds in this video with some creative programming, but I don't know about stereo panning- I'd have to do some research.

  • Waldorf Microwave,,,what a beautiful Synth!!!!!

  • So are wavetables popular again yet?

  • i used to love my micowave 2 got many years of crystal clear sounds from it

  • 2:42 sounds like iconic synth of depeche mode

  • that sounds quite sexy but a biut retro

  • Are there any good synths (for dnb mostly) under 200 american dollars?

  • Check on ebay for a Oberheim Matrix 1000.

  • @DjRevTech do you want analog or digital? i got a sh 101 and it is quite good. and the x0xb0x is nice to

  • @pomfrit93 Message me bro, I am pretty interested. analog btw

  • i got myself a blofeld, which has some sounds that come close to the microwave. however the microwave is still king. i was wondering how much it is on ebay? thank you for the video!!!

  • The king dude is the Waldorf Q.

  • i was not talking about virtual analog.

wavetable is the way to go now...

  • very useful, as usual :)

a question: does the microwave1 sound good as this?

  • the MW1 sound is also good but different from the MW2

  • wel a good vst wavetable = concrete fx cubick

zebra 2 is also good ...but the waldorf remains the master

  • extremely digital sounding synth...harsh, fat, etc.

  • wow extremely good video. I love all the sounds...amazing synth as well. Thanks for the upload =)

  • Thanks :-))

  • wow sounds reallly good I had no Idea these

sounded this good. thanks for posting.

  • Yes the Microwave is very good and versatile more sounding. Thanks!

  • Extraordinary clarity. I wonder if there's a VST for this. Thanks for the demo.

  • Hi SpringDivers,

    thanks for the comment.

  • There is - and it's actually from Waldorf themself, so it's kinda "official". It's not for theMicrowave though, but for the PPG Wave. Google for "Waldorf PPG Wave 2.V"
