Its Roy Boot on the right! Roy once told me in the OM at Lossiemouth, one of my photographs was the best he had ever seen of 'his' aeroplane! Can't ask for more then that can I? It was late and we had downed a few sherberts though! Having said that, he was a Yorkshireman and he could take it! The chap on the left, I don't know! 50 YEARS on 30 April since the Bananajet first flew! Still Faster, Lower, Longer!
My first Jet, 'The Miff' and I were both very young and and we're still best mates after 25 years, Loved my 'Egypt' days. Time for another round at the Skerrie-Brae!!!
laarbruch 10, Not sure what you mean by 'again' or even what part of my video you refer to? The pics where in the officers mess on the final farewell weekend! The JENGO and SENGO where there and are in the pics! If ever I had a chance to promote the ground crew I did! If you feel that strongly about it, send me some photographs and write some stories for my Buccaneer website and I shall put them on!!!
That vid could bring a tear to a glass eye.thank you it is awesome. I'm lucky to be still working on a LIVE one and yes I have the double jointed fingers and universal joints in my wrists....
Hi ALL, I couldn't get this onto the description on here but trust this video compilation brings back some happy memories from an awesome time and an era that seems long gone! Apologies for the quality, a film director im not! However, thought it would be nice to add some of my pics from the party and the video from the fly pasts (13 years ago!!!) If anyone didn't realise, the chap at the end on the right is Roy Boot, he designed the old girl! Sadly passed away now. Enjoy.. Brooksy
I'm a distantish relative of Roy Boot 8D (sorry, felt the need to say it XD)

Thanks - the guy on the left looks very familiar, though I was only 7 at the time my old Dad was posted at Lossie.

Badder than the Tornado and slicker than the A-6. It was replaced, but never equalled.
