The band SUCKED!!! And the Bass? OMG he was so far off... BUT Chuck ALWAYS uses a house band and a back line, and he NEVER even rehearses with these guys, just tell them to play his shit the way they heard it on the radio, then it's off to the races. Johnny Johnson was his Piano player, and he could have held this wreck together if he was on that stage. Chuck was so cheap, he never used 5 star hotels, only flew in coach class and picked up a rent a car and went to the gig!

Chuck Berry's best known songs may all sound similar, unlike Elvis as you say, however Chuck Berry invented his genre, unlike Elvis.
