  • Chuck, you d man!

  • Chuck! Thanks for the music...BR

  • he isnt called the king is he

o yea THE KING ELVIS IS

  • This music make me so happy

I´m from Holland living in Thailand.

    Gerrit Jonker

  • fluent rock and roll music ,chuck sang from his heart

  • Chuck Berry rocks, always did !!!!!!

  • very very very good,

  • Das war noch Musik

  • he is the best there is , every body else learned from him

  • Es el padre del rock and roll, los Stones son hijos suyos.

  • It is a rather unfortunate (depending on your colour) FACT that almost all rock n roll, rock, heavy rock, etc., originated in the negro music in the southern states of the USA, You can read any book, by any artiste from the last 40,50 years, and they will all, almost without exception, cite the "black" music as their inspiration. And yes, even Elvis...

  • @54MURAI my friend ur so right if chuck and others from deep south made history and inspired so many love his music and have been lucky to see him live in NORTHERN IRELAND thanks chuck.

  • @54MURAI why would that be unfortunate? Imitation is one of the most sincere forms of flattery.

  • chuck is a rock legend!

  • Why fight over who was this or that it's pointless Elvis never called himself the King. He just loved to sing and perform. That's all leave him alone let the dead be. Nothing you say will change anything why waste so much time and energy insulting someone who can't defend himself but I sure can and his family don't waste their time they knew he was and so do I. Love ya Elvis.

  • thanx from pemby., Elvis was a thief

  • Who is the king? Different people have different opinions. It is too broad to label one person as the overall "Best". It is true that Chuck wrote his own music and Elvis didn't, but one has to admit that Elvis was a much better performer. Elvis was everything people wanted when they went to a rock concert. Good-looking, good singer, and good dancer. Chuck really could never do any of these things. So I think its fair to say Chuck=king of rock song writing and Elvis=king of rock performers.

  • @divebomber101 they both the kings

  • elvis would applaud.

  • Berry is the true king of R&R. Elvis was good but Berry was far more influential to the genre and other performers.

Hail, Hail Rock and Roll !!

  • ......Chuck Berry was Rock N Roll !!!.....My Name is Oscar "DoubleAction" Knight

  • elvis sings this far better

  • @IStennaI no he doesnt. but its a good cover

  • @BIGGGY305 Bob Weir sings it better.

  • @IStennaI but the king is chuck because he wrote songs not elvis sorry man

  • uuuu i like this song ;D

  • king of rock n roll as far as im concerned

  • @psychedelicsam1 lol, theres more than one king of rock and roll....chuck , elvis, skynyrd, the who...kansas, america

  • @psychedelicsam1 Chuck is very talented but I would not compare him to the Big E.

  • Chucks: Berry > Norris

  • ANGUS WILL TELL U CHUCK IS THE MAN!!!

  • What would have happend if marvin didn't make that phone call

  • @LOCOboiz hahahaha, nice reference

  • Stranded in Birmingham. LOL not the place to be!

  • Chuck Berry youré o of the coolest guitar player/performer ever to walk the planet!

  • Makes me wanna DUCK WALK.

    Let the true kings rise...

  • @IslayLuv Think they're both far bejond awesome!

  • chuck is a hero

  • boring version slow but interesting

    prefer elvis version so much

  • @IStennaI learn english

  • great my man chuck berry they'll be talking about you forever chuck johnny b kline

  • Proof that black people are better at rock than at rap \m/

  • Chuck Berry Wasnt A Nigger...He Was A NINGA!

  • @ToTheMaxxxxxx

I guess you were trying to say Ninja but you're too dumb to spell it properly.

  • @spacecowboy7580 why thank you for serving proud member of the spelling police

  • @ToTheMaxxxxxx

You're welcome son...always glad to help a retard in need.

  • geiler zong

  • Chuck is a very complicated man. He is an asshole and he is the greatest. That sounds like a good definition for rock and roll. It seems to me that everything he wrote was a hit. Everyone is still trying to play like him.

  • fuck elvis

  • Classic Chuck...Peace...BR

  • HAIL HAIL ROCK AND ROLLLLLLLLLL

    GOOGLE =JOHAN CAPIAU

  • HAIL HAIL CHUCK N ROLL!!

  • All Hail the TRUE King!

  • chuck berry is an anagram of "you best rock"

  • @terryfez

  • @IStennaI Elvis was nothing but a showman who cashed in on the work of others. The proof is in the history. Like i stated before, the music industry recruited him for just that purpose. Bill haley was around before, not much before but he was and he too was also used to mainstream chucks music. Chuck was the sheperd, Elvis was the sheep that flocked chucks style in a sense.Elvis sold more and did all that true, but only because in a racially driven market, the white man got all the credit.

  • @PANAMHIEST ive removed everything ive said waste of time arguing ere getting no were

elvis voice is sensational he allowed black folks to become acceptable main stream his persona made people want to do new things end of

i love chuck berry still but elvis is superior in ky opinion

  • bollocks

  • @PANAMHIEST Your'e a fucking idiot. lmfao

  • @illusionistdave all you got to do is look it up man, its all there

  • chuck berry was doing the duck walk when elvis was still in diapers, what do you mean lazy? Not to mention chuck is still jamming strong today, what elvis up to?

  • Comment removed

  • @IStennaI You got the obviously part ass backards there fella. Whats obvious is that elvis was just a ass shaking white boy getting paid off for a style of music that black men like chuck berry, louis jordan, wynonie harris, ellas otha bates(bo diddley for those less educated) revolutionized. You must never forget, this was in a very racial influential part of history in the early to mid 20th century.

Simply put if chuck berry had of been white in this time period, elvis would never had a chance

  • Lets not forget that the music industry at the time admitted they needed a white figure like elvis or bill haley to mainstream and commercialize this style of music. Here is a idea. Stay open minded, read up on some history of how rock music of this style came about. If elvis did anything of historical importance, it was his showmanship. But in my eyes, he is thief that robbed the black musicians of that genre. He lived off the legend of real men like chuck berry.

  • enwikipediaorg/wiki/Elvis_Presley . Read the second paragraph. Elvis was recruited by the music industry for the sole purpose of bringing this african american music to a wider audience. Now if you know anything about this music, you would know chuck berry pioneered this and elvis used chuck's music and style. Elvis did nothing but steal and make money off the real kings of rock n roll, plain and simple.

  • Comment removed

  • such a lazyt performer and terrible singer elvis so much better more sales more fame more recognition better voice simple

  • @IStennaI Dude, judging you from the statement you just made, YOU ARE A FUCKING IDIOT.

FUCK YOU AND GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE.

  • I like Elvis and Chuck. You dont have to pick one over the other. for me Elvis is the king but Chuck is very very good also. l love the music that they made

  • 1st stop if they ever build a time machine... wow.

  • i just watched the elvis version. Chuck berry owned elvis. All elvis did was shake his ass and sing, didnt once touch a instrument other then a mic. You get chuck and elvis on stage in those days and chuck would of had elvis on his knees in awe.period.

  • Comment removed

  • He wrote this song baby he can sing it any way he wants

  • Elvis's Version > Chuck's

  • @CrackingCody yes elvis version is so much better lol

  • His lyrics are pure poetry. Who but Chuck could make riding on a bus sound heroic? He didn't ride in the bus, he f...ing straddled it.

  • Just wonderful, real Rock´n´Roll

    Cheers from Denmark

  • World: Thanks for giving us Rock n' Roll

    USA: No problem!

  • @jigaboojones World : Thanks for identifying Black Blues Legends & changing the face of Rock n' Roll. England : Pleasure!

  • @jigaboojones Actually rock n' roll isn't purely from the USA, just look at The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and Pink Floyd etc. All British.

  • @beatleforce1 uumm The Beatles, Rolling Stones, and Pink Floyd didn't invent rock and roll. They showed up when rock and roll was already established.

  • @sweetdwhite True...

  • 700th Liker!

  • this is sooo bad ass!

  • I HOPE YOU LIVE FOREVER CHUCK LONG LIVE ROCKNROLL JOHNNY KLINE!

  • @abt7217tc : ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

  • @EnnioGames you can still get the records and the videos i wouldnt want to live in a century without records I didnt watch mtv but youtube is fine with me

  • Chuck Berry kicks elvis' ass. I know that if Chuck was a white man he would be twice as big as he was, because people care more about the look than the music.

  • @HandyMan55o amen to that

  • @HandyMan55o

Elvis sounds like a sick man.

  • @watctower

It's because he WAS sick. You couldn't live a week in his world. He still has the best voice of all time.

  • @HandyMan55o Great as Chuck is, and there is no disputing that because he is a fucking genius, as great an American writer as there was in the 20th Century, in his own way the equal of any American writer, but Elvis is the King and he recorded this epic song very late in his career, but none of this would have mattered had Elvis not done what he did. He is the greatest cultural figure the modern world has ever seen. But this thing rocks beyond belief.

  • @HandyMan55o haha, and here i thought i was the only one thinking it!!

  • this man IS ROCK AND ROLL.

  • sua mãe tem a vos de merda mesmo

  • If this isn´t Rock´n´Roll I don´t know what Rock´n´Roll is

  • que vos de mierda...

  • He is on fire here!

  • When I hear this I cringe when I remember the days of CLAPTON IS GOD...I didn't buy it and still don't...Clapton burned out after the Cream and Derek days...Chuck always sounds fresh...wish there were guys like him around today...

  • This was when he did the 'London Sessions' album in the UK - I saw him live in Glasgow Scotland in January of '73 and it still ranks as one of the best gigs I ever saw. Keep on rockin', Chuck...

  • Chuck really is the class act of rock and roll, I love this guy

  • o verdadeiro rei do rock

  • o verdadeiro rei do rock

  • what a Style!

  • @skywaste its more then a style its a life style

  • The greatest Rock 'n' Roll poet of all time.

  • i prefer elvis' version of this song

  • @MrDani9494

    cuase you're a faggot!

  • @hxcmexi What a stupid comment!

  • i love this song..,.

  • Chuck Berry's music is like an i.v. drip; it will bring you back every time!

  • 17 people disliked this video? Why?

  • @dellawrence Because 17 people are DUMB F**CKS. sorry for the language but this is proof there are at least 17 ignorant people on this planet. Long live Chuck. It doesn't get any better.

  • @dtiguru YOU TELL-UM

  • @dtiguru YOU TELL-UM HE DIDNT BY PASS ROCK HILL,HE WENT RIGHT THRIUGH IT FROM CHARLOTTE..

  • how cool is this

  • You see that Goddamn little bend he does so effortlessly and nonchelantly at the 1:19 mark? THAT, boys and girls, *IS* pure, clear, distilled 100-proof Rock and Roll, as American has hamburgers sizzlin' on an open grill night and day. I love Chuck Berry.

  • he 's influenced by marty mcfly in back to the future LOL

  • @jkadvices

    XD

  • @H057IL3 get it when marvin berry called his cousin chuck berry and said listen to this!

  • @jkadvices no its vice verse

  • @jkadvices YOU'RE A NIGGER!!

  • @jkadvices funny haha .

  • @jkadvices

yeah, but Marty took it from Chuck...

  • @MrKrevlornswath I know that but thats the confusing part

  • Chuck always had an awesome taste for guitars...

  • Imádom,Ő a legjobb!

    Hallottátok,hogy rosszul lett a napokban!Sajnos,már 84-éves a "Király"!

  • Imádom,Ő a legjobb!

  • Without Chuck there simply wouldn't be any Rock'n roll

  • That's Great....!!!

  • i gotta see this guy live! and the 18 of you you know who you are....why? just tell me why?

  • Olha o estilão do cara... demais!

  • Love it.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • The band SUCKED!!! And the Bass? OMG he was so far off... BUT Chuck ALWAYS uses a house band and a back line, and he NEVER even rehearses with these guys, just tell them to play his shit the way they heard it on the radio, then it's off to the races. Johnny Johnson was his Piano player, and he could have held this wreck together if he was on that stage. Chuck was so cheap, he never used 5 star hotels, only flew in coach class and picked up a rent a car and went to the gig!

  • @ILIGANO

    Now THAT'S a rock'n'roller

  • Does anyone do it better, the man was rock'n'roll.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheInternetTroll100 well, Chuck got his dues in PULP FICTION...don't worry...SKINNY BLACK SANTA is gonna bust up all the works...the cure for common music..we ain't no NICKELBACK....we have no genre...we just blast it out...invent our own genre called WHAT?

  • Chuck Berry's best known songs may all sound similar, unlike Elvis as you say, however Chuck Berry invented his genre, unlike Elvis.

  • He is one of the greatest American poets that ever lived. Like Dave Marsh said, "a song where the hero is only co-equal to the land itself"

  • @GlenQuagmireful ... ever lived? he still lives and performs.
