We have 2 Maine Coons and 2 grandbabies and they have never been sratched. They are such gentle smart animals. If they don't want to play, they go hide, though most often they want to play.

We've got a Maine Coon as well. I love her!

Her name is Jakkepoes (it's a dutch name and I don't really know a good translation for it)

and she's been neutered.

She's scratched my little brother once, because he was pulling her tail and wouldn't let go. But apart from that, she's totally non-agressive :-)
