  • who is the guy singin with them ?

  • Praise the Lord! Thank you Jesus.

  • LaBreeska was and Is one of the most underated female singers in Gospel Music. Why she wasnt featured more as a soloist, I'll never know. I LOVE her singing!

  • @Sixfoot3nNC You know, that has to be one of the truest statements I've read in a long time. Clearly, LaBreeska Hemphill is one of the great gospel voices of all time! Thanks for sayin it!

  • Remember that feeling that you use to get at those "ole time tent revivals"? Seeing these three in concert - you get that!!!!

BTW - LaBreeska is Vestal Goodman's niece - but only my marriage not blood - although they tend to sound alike and both have wonderful voices. LaBreeska's mother, Gussie, was a sister to Rusty, Sam, and Howard.

  • Joel Hemphill is a class act I met them in 1979 at a singing in Elizabethton Tn. He and LaBreeska were just wonderful people as was the rest of the family (they were all singing together then).

  • even though they have grown older, they sound just as good. They remind me of the goodmans

  • You are so right!

  • LaBreeska is Vestal Goodman's niece

  • Do you have any information on where this came from? Like for instance, do you know the name of the video tape/dvd?

    Thanks! Just Wonderful!

  • This was recorded at NQC in Louisville, KY - 2008 - in an afternoon program with Phil Cross - DVD is called "Song of a Lifetime". They also have a new CD out with Jerry Bennett recording 16 old songs redone and resung. Check it out called "Diggin".
