ok, i did it (4 hrs later) since the 2.1 firmware i got from the link in the description wouldn't jailbreak, i got the 2.0.1 firmware from ipodtouched,com or something and then i clicked update in itunes, it downloaded legaly and free the 2.1 firmware and then i used that one in quickpwn and it worked :D

i dont think so, i only did because i was restoreing/updating it to 2.1 so idk :S, you can try not restoring it and if it doesnt work its probibly because it wasnt in DFU mode, but itll probibly say ipod needs to be restored before jailbreak process can start or something like that i think

Thanks dude this is the best video on how to jailbreak your ipod touch v2.1! worked perfectly, only met one problem with the total commander program while trying to replace the mobileinstaller file, it said that i hade to remowe the write thing on the file. the problem was that i tried to pull the mobileinstaller file from outside the commander program. u need to use the other drag the file from within the commander program! HAHA very uninteresting if u didnt have this problem but great guide!!!

you don't drag the file from the folder you have to use the other side of the total commander. EVERYTHING IS DONE FROM THE TOTAL COMMANDER
